Screen Problem Hi, My Toshiba Laptop starts normally but the screen doesn't start at all. I took it to a technician. He said that the problem is with the VGA, he changed it but still facing the same problem problem. finally I asked him to refix the original VGA of the Laptop that's on the shelf now. Can you please help to solve this problem out and let my Laptop and its screen work properly and normally? Thanks a lot for your cooperation.

Most every laptop has a feature of external monitor. you can plug in a monitor from a desktop to your lap top Press and hold the 'FN' button and then press the CRT/LCD Button once this will shift the monitor to the external monitor. the next time you push it the external monitor and the LCD should be on. You-can do this while it is booting or after it arrives at the login screen for windows. You can use a flash light to shine into the lcd at an angle if you can see windows then your back light is burnt and is very cheap to replace. If not then it is the lcd display. If the external monitor does to work then it is a motherboard issue or graphics card.. After you preform these tests you can reply to this post with the details and send me the exact model of your laptop and  iwill gladly find a replacement lcd for you.
Thanks PJ The ElectronicCarpenter Please rate my services and anything then completely satisfied is not good enough for me. tell me how  I can fully help you.

can you plug in another monitor to the video plug on the side of your laptop?

if the monitor works but your laptop screen stays dark your laptop screen needs to be replaced .

If the monitor is also dark then the LCD screen is ok but the inverter needs to be replaced

Will turn in but won't really start up, message pops up sayin I have problems on my laptop but it can't fix them? Read description

When your toshiba splash screen is showing on startup, press F8 continuously, then you should get some options, go to the one that says safe mode. After loading windows in safe mode click start, search, and type system restore. Open system restore, find a date where your pc was working correctly and click restore. If this doesn't do it on the toshiba spash screen (if you have a new enough laptop) there will be an option called system recovery usually f11 key, this will restore your pc back to its factory state and should resolve any problems your having. If you don't have that option go to https://www.csd.toshiba.com/cgi-bin/tais/support/jsp/serviceUnitVerification.jsp and see if you can order a set of recovery disc's for your model, they usually run from $25-$30. Hope this helps.

Loose electrical connection or its loosing its grip to hold your screen. If you can do it on warranty then try. Or have it check by a technician.
