Re: can not install my router
First of all power off the net gear wireless adapter and than try to install the rangemax. if it dosen't work than please check the dhcp range in both the wireless router are the of the same range. than kindly the change the range of dhcp of this new rangemax wireless adapter. you can change this dhcp range my connecting the router to your computer and login by default ip . e.g http://192.168.1.1 and login with userid "admin" and password "admin" than go to lan management option and try the same.

I have the WPN824v3 and it can be balky finding and connecting to a network sometimes. It works best (and gets the best range) using the Netgear RangeMax Wireless USB 2.0 adapter (WPN111). The router and this adapter are (according to Netgear) specifically designed to work with each other, thereby maximizing both the range and the speed of the router.
power down all players. count to 30 ... power up the modem ... wait ... power up the router ... wait ... power up your main computer ... wait ... power up the next computer ... and so on.
I love to use Network Magic for network management duties.
You can try it free for about a week, then they want $ but it is worth what they want. google Network Magic. If you dont pay, you can still use most of it. It will help you set up and change and modify your network ... also it will help you with security.
It could only be an interference problem. To resolve it, you need to change the wireless channel of your router. Access the router's setup page through http://192.168.2.1, look for wireless tab. Change the channel to 11 then save the settings.
you need tocheck the sharing, on both pc's go to taskbar on right, right click the network icon, click network and sharing centre and ensure the sharing buttons are all on.
Make sure thay are also on the same workgroup, right click my computer icon>properties>advanced system settings>click computer name tab and check the workgroup name is the same eg both mshome or workgroup
