Hi
If its in a specific disk:
Try to clean it...
Is it possible your DVD disks are China bootlegs? If so, then you have disks that are bad as a result of bit rate down conversion problems.

If not:
Try cleaning the lens, all you need is a q-tip wet with alcohol. Just don't push to hard.

If this does not correct the problem, you may need to have your TV serviced

As you said you tried cleaning the lens it could also be the problem of motor which spins the disc internally that motor is either getting blocked or it is at its last stage so not running for long time just getting stopped.if dust or dirt is the problem cleaning will help but if faulty then replacement is necessary,

The problem is due to

  • Defective motor and there is bad connections to motor.
  • Stripped gear or other mechanical damage.
  • Bad voltages from power supply.

Try first cleaning the lens using a dvd cleaner product, to ensure this is not a lens problem, provide the exact model number so that I can look for an eventual software update for the unit.

Try unpluging the dvd for 5 minutes and try again, also try a dvd lens cleaner, and reset the dvd player to default settings.

Try another DVD

I have a problem conecting my sharp 25h-M60 with my DVD plyer.I have found solution on Fixya. They said I have to use VCR. My question is: What does VCR mean?

If your TV does not have AV inputs (RCA jacks for video and audio), you can't plug the DVD player directly in to the set. One solution is to connect the DVD player to a video cassette recorder (VCR) using the "line in" jacks on the VCR, then using the channel 3 or 4 output from the VCR to the TV. This solution may not work with discs that have copy protection, though, and will give you an unwatchable picture.

For sets with no AV input, you need an RF converter. This is a device that takes the video and audio signals from a DVD player or other device and makes a channel 3 or 4 TV signal to the TV's antenna connector. Converters are available at most retailers where you can buy televisions, as well as online.

VCR/DVD & Samsung TV: "weak or no signal"

No signal, no channels coming up. other TV's on same ariel working ok??????

What to do if you have an all snowy picture (blue screen or the TV displays unusable signal-no signal or no sync)
1 – If you are using a digital cable box or satellite receiver (make sure it’s on) and be sure your TV is set for either CH3 or CH4 (which ever you usually view it on). If you usually view it through video inputs (video1 or 2 etc.) make sure the appropriate input is selected.
If you still don’t get a signal see if you get picture using the DVD or VCR (if available) if you do than plug the satellite or Dig. Box temporarily into the place of the DVD (unplug DVD) you may have to use some A/V cables (RCA yel./red/wht like the ones on the DVD) to hook to the tv from the sat./dig. box. If you get a signal then the sat./dig box is ok. If not the Sat./dig box is not sending a signal and is either defective or needs to be rebooted (unplug wait 5 min try again).
2 – If you are using standard cable or antenna (source) if possible check that the source is good by connecting to another TV. Otherwise try running the source into a VCR and then out to the TV using video inputs (RCA yel./red/wht like the ones on the DVD) and then selecting the appropriate input. Try seeing if the VCR plays using standard CH3 (or CH4)
If the VCR plays on video input but not when connected to CH3 (CH4) then the tuner of the TV may be defective – see if you can use the VCR to change channel using the VCR remote.
Be sure to vote/rate me if this helped Thanks!

Not able to connect Sharp Model 25h-M60 to Laptop or DVD player

Use a VCR as a A/B switch. Run Cable signal into VCR. Run coax cable out of VCR into television. Connect DVD to VCR (line in) using RCA cables. To use DVD, set VCR channel to L1 or L2 or AUX, depending on VCR type. Set VCR to channel 3 or 4 to watch television. VCR must be powered up to watch DVD.

SHARP T.V. not responding to remote, but remote isn't broken

Same thing happened to my Sharp 29 inch. Stopped responding to original remote the first time, but a universal worked fine. Eventually it stopped responding too all universal remotes. The remotes are good, they work with my VCR, DVD player, and Receiver. It's a nice TV, but having to get up and adjust the volume every commercial break got old a few decades ago! If anyone has any other possible solutions aside from getting the sensor replaced...would be great to hear it.

Hooking up a cd player

I'm assuming you mean a DVD player, not a CD player? 1. You can get an input splitter (basically an A/B switch for the cable), and connect to that, manually switching between the two sources. 2. You can replace the VCR and the DVD player with a combination DVD/VHS unit. Although it would seem logical, it is unlikely that you can hook the DVD player to the VCR, since the VCR will refuse to let the signal pass though it, as part of its MacroVision copy protection. (This is the same sytem that prevents you from recording DVDs onto VHS tapes.)
