Do a full reset, and if it doesn't work, take it in to the shop.

SOURCE: split two hands for two different sounds

The SP200 does not have any built in ability to split the keyboard between high and low. My guess is that you were seeing someone using this keyboard as a midi controller for a sampler (or sample player) and they had assigned various samples to keys or key ranges. This can be done using Reason fairly easily. The setup would be in the sampler you use however and not the keyboard.

Hope this helps.

SOURCE: korg c-56 struck by lightning.

if your keyboard has been affected by a lightning strike then every semicondutor ( diode transistor i/c ) will be blown ...I know most components are on the mother board but not all ...I reckon cheaper to buy a new one ...sorry

SOURCE: Need help connecting Korg C-303 (Concert Piano)

Assuming the C-303 has a MIDI out, connect a MIDI cable from the MIDI output of the C-303 to the MIDI input of the symphony module.

Connect two audio cables (mono 1/4 inch) from the symphony module to a suitable audio amplification system OR possibly into auxilary audio input jacks of the C-303, if they exist.

I have a Symphony module but not the piano you have and I have mine connected to a Yamaha organ.

SOURCE: Hello i have a korg pa 800 just a while ago

If this is not a low power supply problem, you might try circuit cooler to isolate the bad part.

Beyond the power supply I would recommend taking this to a shop for repair ONCE you have tried a factory reset.

Use this site for downloads:

SOURCE: No sound will come out

See if the sound is present at the headphone jack by plugging in headphones. This is the start of testing.

I have a Yamaha MM6 - only the piano category works - the wheel jogs through the voices. No other category works and no functions work. No lights are on apart from the display.

maybe this will help ...... I have a Korg M1 ..... it has a small button battery for maintaining memory and sounds .... mine lasted about 10 years ...... I looked up in Google how to change the battery .... I looked up in my M1 instructions how to reload the sounds .... I had lost all my synth sounds except the basic piano ...... I changed the battery and reloaded the sounds from a backup card I had bought years ago .... M1 works perfectly now .... you probably lost any saved songs .... contact Yamaha how to change the battery and reload the original songs .... any saved songs are gone .... next time, back them up ... good luck

Baldwin Piano Pro an old electric piano, all lights flash, intermittent ability to play, then no sound when keys are played. I do not have a manual, what can I do???

Sounds like the power supply needs repair. Often the capacitors are leaking (electronically) and they cause the equipment to not work properly.

MY korg sg pro x sounds like a piano half way up the keyboard then it sounds like an organ? How do I get it to sound only like a piano

You have probably activeated a split point. Do a reset next time you turn it on and see if that doesn't correct the problem.

How can i have dual voice on x5d korg? I lke piano and strings

Just go to COMBI mode.

dual-voice-x5d-korg-lke-piano-strings-v3bkdlfzxxldunukh1pdnvp1-3-0.jpg

Press PAGE+. The display may look like this :dual-voice-x5d-korg-lke-piano-strings-v3bkdlfzxxldunukh1pdnvp1-3-1.jpg
ordual-voice-x5d-korg-lke-piano-strings-v3bkdlfzxxldunukh1pdnvp1-3-3.jpg

In the example above, A03 and A49 is a sound PROGRAM number.
OFF and OFF is a Layer 3 and 4, were not activated.
So in our example, we only activate two voices (two layers).
X5D can combine up to 8 voice. To view the Layer 5-8, press PAGE +.
To change the sound of your choice, move the cursor to the corresponding layer, use this button:

dual-voice-x5d-korg-lke-piano-strings-v3bkdlfzxxldunukh1pdnvp1-3-6.jpg
then change the value with the slider / value key (YES and NO):

You can also set the level of each layer.
Press PAGE + until a menu appears LEVEL.
Move the cursor and sets its value

Crackling speaker as soon as i switch on my digital piano

It looks like the Korg c-15s has a internally mounted speaker and so I will assume that the speaker and amplifier are part of the piano base. It sounds like either the speaker is blown (crackling sounds heard as deformed voice coil scrapes the magnet structure) or the audio amplifier is distorting the audio.

Connect the piano's output to an external amplifier and speaker to properly identify problem.

Korg C- 155 Digital Piano - Sound comes on after 15 minutes of being turned on.

All of the above answers are wrong.

First off, forget about 6ya! Sixya, fixya, scam artists all. See for example, https://tinyurl.com/ybpds4h5. Calling them for a digital piano repair would be like calling a plumber to do brain surgery.

She's asking about a KORG C-155. Not a Roland anything. Not a Technics anything. Not a Kurzweil anything. And the problem isn't about dead notes or intermittent loss of touch sensitivity, or volume issues. Her piano is dead until after a 15 minute warm-up and then plays NORMALLY! This issue just about screams, "POWER SUPPLY PROBLEM!" At least, this is the first place to begin.

For the average user, this is not a DIY project. Troubleshooting it will require an experienced technician with the proper instruments and tools at least an hour to open the unit (ker-ching!), take some measurements, identify the defective assembly or component. Then on a 25 year old unit, he would need to start hunting for replacement part(s), since KORG very likely no longer stocks parts on a unit that old.

That is probably why the typical answer from a professional would be, "save your money, and buy a new unit." Because of the parts issue, the cost of the repair will likely be in the hundreds of dollars (ker-ching!), and when it breaks down again with something else (ker-ching! ker-ching!).

I'm not saying the piano can't be fixed, but I am asserting that it can't be fixed economically by a professional who cannot afford to spend many hours on isolating a defect, hunting online for a USED replacement assembly, or a NEW component (assuming that the repair involves just one or two individual components), then actually doing the repair, and putting the unit back together, and only get paid for a fraction of the actual time involved.

My Korg c15s has a lot of grating staticky noises when played ....I'm told it cannot be repaired as Korg no longer makes parts for this model?

I have a Korg C-15s and also experiencing loud crackling sounds when I turn it on. The problems seems to be either the sliding volume control or the amplifier itself. Honestly though, I believe the issue is the volume control. I opened my piano to get a closer look and attempted to clean the contacts on the volume. Unfortunately after cleaning the contacts, the crackling sounds became somewhat worse. After I turn the piano on, the volume control is generally rendered useless......volume set to low volume and the noise is quite loud and other times the volume control is set high and get very low volume crackling noise. No real consistency. The noise does diminish after a few minutes but so does the piano sounds to an inaudible level. There were a couple of instances where I turned it on and surprising enough, no no noise and perfect sound. For these reasons I believe the issue is within the volume control and not so much the amplifier. I have an electronics background and noticed that the volume control is very unique in design and is not something that can be substituted with another volume control from other sources.

My recommendation is to check the sound quality of the audio from the RCA L/R audio outs on rear of the piano by connecting to a stereo receiver. If it sounds fine you're in luck. If the crackling sound does not diminish after a few minutes like mine does, I would suggest disconnecting the internal speakers and using the audio out only. You can connect a pair of studio monitors or high quality computer speakers, preferably with a small subwoofer to deliver the full audio range and deeper tone of a real piano. I'm currently using a basic pair of Logitech computer speakers and is quite acceptable until I can afford a high quality set of monitors or relocate my piano closer to my high quality Yamaha receiver.

I hope this info helps a bit.

Manuals for Concert Piano Korg C-15

I have a Korg Concert Piano (C-15S) which was working perfectly till about two months ago. I have been on vacation for two months, had left the piano unplugged from the electric supply point, but on re-connecting now, I get no sound from it. Is there a reset button (or other device) that I may have to use? Appreciate your advice.

Thank you,

L. Paul
