On booting it shows Intel AMT Error - Aborting, after a while it then shows 2207 AMT connection failure after which it finally boots to windows. its a hp compaq desktop dc 7700p mini tower convertible bios...

When you boot your computer, you need to hit the key to get you into the bios setup. F10, F2 or Del keys are the usual ones.

Once into the bios, change the boot order to make the CD drive first, and then you will boot right to the CD.

Note, you will also have to hit a key when it starts to boot, it will say, hit a key to boot from CD.

If you miss the key to get into the bios, you have to start over again. Sometimes you have to hit the enter bios key over and over to get in there.

HP dx6120 wont boot from cd rom and I want to install windows in a new haerd drive. Is this a bios problem? How do I deal with it.

Possibly a bios problem if the bios is not set to boot from a cd/dvd.
Press Delete key or F2 as soon as you switch on, or whichever key it needs to get in to the bios. Change the boot option to boot from CD/DVD first. Save settings and exit.

Some computers have a one time boot menu which lets you boot from whichever drive you like just for that time. Usually F11, F12, F2.

How to i reset my windows vista like reboot everything

Youll have to either perform a system restore to an earlier time or boot from your vista cd and reinstall your operating system. If the machine wont boot up to the cd setup program but goes straight to vista youll have to enter the bios ( usually by pressing del or f2 during post) and change the boot order to boot from cd first.

Redoing my pc

F8. If that isn't it I would go up to F11. The important thing to remember is you may have to repeatedly tap it starting as soon as you see the Dell logo on your screen. Let me know if this helps. I may need more info on what exactly you are wanting to accomplish. I am writing this as to help you with getting to the area of your computer that deals with how it boots up. Meaning that you will need to change it from hard disk to cd rom. If this is not what you are looking for let me know waynebaete@yahoo.com and I am sure I can be of further assistance to you.
