Your downloaded file of Yahoo Messenger 10 could have a virus on it which tells the computer something in the port you are using is not connected. Try a different usb port on your computer, Or your webcam could've just died. My webcam died after 1 week of use.(Labtec webcam) I would suggest trying different ports, Un-installing and re-installing, or purchase of a new webcam
Hope this helps. Please don't forget to rate. Thanks ^^
this might bcos of webcam driver try installaing again your driver.........as you have not mentioend this webcam is with serial port/ usb port........if any of them go to my computer right click.......go to hardware......go to device manager........go to usb go to universal serial bus converter & check for driver details is working or faulty............hope this will help you.............Sameeraryan
I think you might have a loose cononection for the data ports. Try putting a little bit of force on the usb device. Up, down left right. NOT ALOT. If it starts working when force is used, i tihnk you should try to take it apart and resolder the connections. If it dosen't work, uninstalling the driver and installing.
tech support for MI has been very good to me in the past on at least two occasions, one regarding a IC50 webcam in which the driver that was causing static in the image, and a MI wireless mouse that has worked fairly well since I got it about year ago. But it was a ***** for a blind man like myself to setup and configure.
Assuming the driver is still installed and you are sure that it is the correct driver for the cam, I would suggest removing mouse and keyboard just to see if that alliviated the webcam detection issue. I have seen circumstances in the past in which devices would basically take over the USB disallowing the use of other devices. This may not be happening but it is worth a shot in the dark. In the meantime, try to give MI another day or two for an answer. Here is the website just in case you are not getting the driver from their main website as it can be very difficult to find for most people..
