Re: Unable to open a file from wordperfect 10

You will need to obtain a program like "Documets to Go" that will convert your WordPerfect documents to a format readable on your Tungsten.

Phone reboots when I click on the call log so i am unable to view the calllog. What do I do?

Sounds like your PhoneCallDB file may be corrupt. I do not know how to recover it, but you may be able to delete the corrupt file so you can use your phone again.

Backup your device before trying this.

Try downloading Filez from, then copy the PhoneCallDB file from the device to an SD card (as a backup). Now Delete the PhoneCallDB file from the device. If you go to the phone application now, the call log should be empty.

It appears invalid jar file during download

a jar file is a compress application file that your phone is showing as an invalid file.
Try downloading it to you computer and putting it on from there.
also check your phone and open the file on your phone if you see it in the memory.
it may just be throwing an error and the file is there.

Sir i gave password for my nokia 3230 mmc memory card to protect against illegal use. but unfortunately i dont remember the password,so I am unable to use my memory card. please help me unlock it

Install and launch MMCPWD application. It will display some special characters including your password.
Option 2:
Locate mmcstore file. Install and launch System Explorer or FExplorer application. Go to c:\system\ and open (using unicode/hex editor) the mmcstore file. it will display your password. NOTE: you can also copy the mmcstore file to any folder of your phone memory, rename it to mmcstore.txt and open it without using any unicode/hex editor).

Option 3:
1. Open up fe explorer thingy.
2. Go to C:\system\ folder and locate a file called mmcStore. Scroll down till you find it.
3. Copy it to C:\nokia\others
4. Highlight it
5. Click options
7. IT should turn blue: right click then write ".txt" (should look like "MMCSTORE.txt"
8. Try to open it, (that should be your password, if nothing happens then go to 9.)
9. Connect phone to pc
10. Open the file from C:\NOKIA\OTHERS\MMCSTORE
11. Copy the file to your desktop
12. Open with Windows notepad/ microsoft word
13. That should be your password

Pc suit software

Download PCsuite software from
What do you want to do on the PDA's powerpoint? you cannot edit or create .pps files, only open them. The easiest way is to go to the location where you opened the file and open it from there, not from the PDA's application. Another point to consider is if the file was created with Office 2007, there is normally an "x" the .pps (yourfile.ppsx). so unless th creator made it accessible to previous versions ( xp, 2003 etc) the phone wont recognise the format and wont open it

Unable to view installed .prc files on my Treo755p verizon

I am Treo novice and have no right to think I can answer anyone's question. But I think I can answer this particular question because I've just sat here on my computer for 2 hours trying to figure out this very question. I bought and downloaded an ebook and couldn't figure out why I couldn't open it once it was sync onto my treo. I didn't have the application installed needed to read the file.

If you're unable to open the file that you plainly see there on the menu it's probably that you need to install/download the application program that's required to open and read your file.

PocketDVD problems

I'm a little confused. Most of the encoding programs I know like Pocket DVD Studio or Pocket DVD Wizard are programs you run on your PC (not the iPaq) in order to create a file which you eventually download to your card and play with Betaplayer.
