Question about Jura Capresso C1500 Espresso & Coffee Maker
My machine does not work at all because it says "hot water cycle necessary" and when I push the button, nothing happens. When I switch hot water switch to hot water or steam, nothing happens. There is not water cycling through. Before I changed the water filter, I was able to make coffee, though not steam water. Once I changed the filter, I had to cycle through the hot water cycle before I could make coffee again, and now I'm stuck on the "hot water cycle necessary" and can't do anything with machine.
Have you ever tried to reset the machine? You can try to unplug the power cable of the unit for few minutes (10-20) then plug it back in. Hold the power button for about 5 seconds. Check if that clears the error.

The problem is a very frequent one a small scale part have been moved and it stack to the water steam valve and it blocking it from closing completely. So when you make coffee the hose of water for coffee is in parallel with hot water steam wand and since the valve remains partially opened the water for coffee find easy escape from steam wand.
So we suggest to perform one more descale and it may need twice hopefully this small scale part to be dissolve a little bit more in order to pass thought the steam valve and thus the valve can close again completely. If you are not so lucky the part remain on the valve then only solution is to disassemble the machine thus clean the steam valve manually. In this solution you may find out that the valve o ring might be damage and thus the leak.
here is the link with steam valve parts and this the parts diagram of the machine and here many more for your machine
