Please check the cable that connects the monitor to the video card. Reseat the cable, the issue might be a loose connection. You can also try a known good monitor to isolate if it's the video card or monitor that is causing the problem. Something is preventing the monitor from receiving signals from the video card, hence the "no signal" message.

As soon as i turn on my computer my monitor says no input signal and then goes to sleep i have an hp

either your video card has stopped working or your cable to your monitor or the monitor is bad. Try to hook another monitor up to it see if it turns off if it doesn't then the video card needs to be replaced. If it does its the monitor.

Garage sale purchase ...no instructions a few wires that's it

All you need to do is plug in the video cable into the back of your computer (VGA port) and plug the monitor into the wall. If the monitor doesn't turn on when plugged in, then the monitor is bad.

PC bootup problem

Double check your connections ( the cord between monitor and computer{usually has blue ends}, they always wiggle lose) . If that doesnt fix it, buy a new cord and check for video card updates.

When I Turn On My Power Macintosh 9600\200MP With A ProView 786N Monitor, Nothing Comes Up On The Monitor Exept The Monitors Self Test! I NEED HELP! Thank You!

If I remember right, this has on-board graphics. If so, try an ATI PCI graphics card. Nothing seems to work on these but ATI. But first try a different monitor. If that works problem solved. Does this have an adapter from apple to standard VGA monitor? Sometimes those go bad.

I recently bought a prowiew monitor from a friend, and would like to know how to get sound from the built in speakers.

Proview monitors with built in speakers have a jack on the bottom for an 1/8 inch stereo audio cable connection to the sound card.

What brand of sound card do u have? If it is on the motherboard, the drivers should be on the motherboard CD.
