The reciever is outside on my front porch which faces southeast. I put new batteries in the clock and also in the receiver, but an outside temperature still won't come up on the screen.
Everything works perfectly on my atomic clock......except the outside temp. I will set it and it may work for a couple of hours then stop. No matter how many times I set it, it will only work for a short period of time.
This is the second clock I hve purchased and both has same problem. One was in cabin on lake and one in primary residence.
I was told that the unusual sun flare activity in solar system was the cause. These clocks are simply too cheaply made to withstand the sun flare activity. I'm not a scientist, so can only repeat the explanation given.
Make sure they are both set to the same channel (normally channel 1) put them next to each other then press reset on the temperature unit only.

I'm sorry to hear that.
It sounds like no pulse signal is being received by the clock then. This can only mean the transmitter site has a long term problem, which is unlikely. Or your clock's receiver is faulty. Sorry, cannot offer any other suggestion. You could just leave it running, it may pick up a pulse eventually and get back on track. I guess there is nothing to lose in trying, except a couple of batteries.
Take care now!

1) Does the remote have batteries? See other posts that describe how to do this (4 screws in back need to be removed). Temperature should be displayed in small window of the sending unit if it's working.
2) Hold Channel button for 3 seconds until it beeps - the unit then searches for a signal.
