Question about Microwave Ovens
On this model, you need to remove the outside cover, then you'll see the bulb on the right side, mounted in an air duct.
Please unplug it before taking it apart.
If your model has anti-tamper screws, you can remove them using using a T20H Torx type or GTXH20-100 screwdriver. If the correct tool is not available, there are several ways to remove the screws:
- Use a hammer and a small punch or similar tool to knock out the middle post of the screw, then use a standard T20 Torx bit to remove the screws. (Use safety glasses).
- Insert a small flat-bladed screwdriver (such as a jeweler’s type) into the slot between the post and the edge, tap the screwdriver firmly with a hammer to loosen the screw, grip the screwdriver with pliers, and remove the screw.
- Use a hacksaw or Dremel tool to cut a slot in the head of the screw, then use a flat-bladed screwdriver to remove the screws. (Use safety glasses).
This is a bulb assembly with the socket included. It does not unscrew.
