I check the vido card by trying in on another monitor, it was fine.

I then check the cable that connected the monitor to the board. It need to be reseated. It is now fixed.

    Yay me!

Thanks to all that helped me in getting this fixed.

Hi, do you have problems with the colour all the time? or does it just happen when viewing pictures?

  • bassgoonist May 11, 2010

Ok, you need to take a picture with a digital camera or something. I'm guess there's something wrong with your screen and you should probably call dell if it's still under warranty.

Go ahead and post a picture of it on a site likehttp://tinypic.com/ and put the link here.

MY DELL 1525 TURNS ON AND THE NORMAL BLUE SCREEN APPEARS. THEN ALL OF THE SUDDEN IT GOES BRIGHT GREEN, THEN BRIGHT YELLOW, AND STAYS BRIGHT YELLOW

Hello,
Please connect your laptop to an external monitor and see if the output is the same. If it displays fine on the monitor, then we are looking at either a screen cable problem or a screen problem. If the display is the same as on the laptop, then it is a problem with the display adapter on the mother board.

All the best.

I've a dell inspiron 1521 battery problem

The battery has an internal failure (Most likely a bad cell) While the battery works, the resolution for the LED indication is to replace the battery. Batteries are a consumable item and generally, batteries have a life of 300 to 500 recharge/discharge cycles before replacement is necessary.
