I have installed my crw, but when i try to burn a cd it tells me there is no device able to burn,
If i go into the control panel then add new hardware it tells me that it's already installed, But windows can't specify the resources for this device ( code 27 ) Click the resources tab and then select the basic configuration for the resources this device use's. To see which resoures this device use's see documentation for this device,
Well the problem is its second hand so there is no documentation for the rewriter, Also once the rewriter is installed is the cd rom still able to play cd rom games, If you are able to help me i would be blessfully happy as i have been at this for two days now

you might have to physically unplug the leads for this cd/dvd then
plug them back in this will activate the found new hardware wizard or
if your computer came with a motherboard disk the drivers could be on it
click start control panel administrive tools computer management device manager
scroll down cd dvd rom drives if you see a yellow question or exclamation
mark?! or red x right click to update driver hope this helps
if you want to install something or if you plug in something and it says device not reconized or new hardware found for long periods of time and you don't have a cd go to control panel then click add hardware this will tell you what to do its easy and very helpful.
The chances are that the drivers for them got corrupted and you can install them fron your motherboard cd. To install them go to Control panel-> add new hardware-> search for new hardware-> if it shows up then its good else add them from the list. It will then install the drivers from your motherboard cd (the cd you got with your system or from the cd you got with your disk drive).
If this doesn't help then check for the connectors(going into disk drive from power supply and motherboard) by opening your pc.
First U have to uninstall any programs installed by first mouse... control panel - add/remove programs.
Leave the new mouse attached.
Then U have to uninstall the old wireless mouse device...
control panel - system - hardware - devices
Reboot... when it detects the device, load the driver for the new mouse from the new mouse cd.
U can load any programs U want from the new mouse cd after insuring the mouse works.
The problem likely is not with your hardware--it may not even be detected unless you have a buring program (non-microsoft) installed. check to be sure that you have no yellow checks in your device manager, and and check for any yellow checks for your CD/DVD ROM
drives, your sound, video and game controllers. If there are none, your
system is go. Your burning software may be corrupted. I recommend a great free program, Belarc Adviser, which will tell you all programs and hardware in your computer, find the CD burning software, like Nero (not backup software) or Roxio, and go to their web sidtes to download pgrades or just redownload them if they aren't working on your computer.
first, try to uninstall the frimware from the add remove programs (Control panel).
If it wont help, uninstall the driver and remoe the device (right click on 'my computer' - properties - hardware - device manager)restart the machine and let Windows redetect it. It should have retained the driver and will reload it.
