The fuse is a safety device it's a 50/50 chance that it just blew out and rare something else cause the breaker to blow out as a safety of malor damage you will have to have it serviced cause now that you replace the fuse and it didn't blow now the main problem has arised sometimes you might see the component blown or burnt and sometimes the board will tell you with a burn mark if it's more serious either way i'm sorry to say that it needs servicing and i pray you have warranty or best extended warranty....

Well, if its plugged in directly to the wall, then it should work. Whatever caused the power spike to the breaker may still be causing problems, reset the breaker in the house and be sure the outlet works alright.

reset all the fuses and trips in the power strips or whatever its plugged into.

press the power and see what happens. you may have blown a fuse or capacitor in the T.V. in which case i would take it to a t.v. repaire shop.

My pdp r03u has an error code e01

I have a 50" Unit with this same part, I called Pioneer and told them what was happening, they asked me to count the flashes on the monitor power indicater light and when I told them the problem they told me that it was a dry solder weld, I called a tv repair tech and told him what was going on, he had never worked on Plasma Tv's and was very hesitant to start I told him if I just brought in the Media Box and had him check the solder joints how much would he charge he told me to try he wouldnt charge me anything, I jumped on that! he saw a few issues and fixed them, I brought the unit home plugged it into the tv and the tv works just fine!

Hi I have a Pioneer PDP-436XDE its over 3 years old and has worked perfectly until today when it switched itself off and would not switch back on. Ive unplugged it from the mains and left it for some time...

The reason for your tv not switching on properly may be due to

The main filter capacitor or other filter capacitors in the low voltage power supply is dried up and this can cause all kinds of regulation problems.

The power supply regulator is defective (or marginal) allowing excessive voltage on its output and then the X-ray protection circuitry shuts you down.

blue or red colour may be due to fault in chroma decoder circuitry.

Not turn on i do not have 24v. Was watching TV for three hours when I was finished the set would not turn off from either remote or front panel. Unplugged unit and left overnight. When I plugged the unit...

Good Day,
The most common problem with this Model is the Caps on the Main Board, but to make sure pull the codes. Follow this procedure:
This model is equipped with a self-diagnosis feature to help with diagnosis of shutdown problems. To activate this turn the unit on let it shutdown then press the input/device and menu buttons on the front panel simultaneously and hold them in for 5 seconds after 5 seconds the power LED on the front panel will blink a two digit sequence. This will be one set of blinks a short pause then another set of blinks, this will repeat 5 times. 1 - 2 = no error detected 2 - 1 = X-ray protect (high voltage or beam current) 2 - 2 = Short protect (short protect monitors low voltage supplies) 2 - 3 = Deflection protect (this could be loss of vertical or horizontal deflection) 2 - 4 = Vertical protect (usually loss of vertical from the source) 1. MAY BE INTERMITTENT, SELF-DIAGNOSIS ERROR 23 OR 24. CHECK SOLDER CONNECTIONS AT CONNECTOR "DY" ON THE YOKES. 2. SHUTDOWN AT POWER WITH SELF-DIAGNOSIS ERROR 23 OR 24. CHECK C411 2200 UFD 35 V AND C412 10 UFD 50 V, BOTH LOCATED ON THE MAIN PCB. Good Luck, big IRISH.
