how do yo turn it on

  • bshep0 Dec 24, 2008

I don't get it either.  My mic doesn't work, no matter what I do.  I returned the mic for a new one.  Same problem.  I have my Wii plugged into the charging station via USB and it works fine, so I know both of my USB ports are good.  I'm at a loss.

Just asked this same question.
discovered that by removing one of our wii controllers from the drum set that we could use the microphone and the guitar. Guessing that having a 3rd controller would allow for the full band to play together (guitar, drum, and vocals). Thinking that by having 4th controller, we could hook up our other microphone or another guitar.

Yes-need a 3rd wii remote to work mic at same time as drums and guitar (else unhook guitar or drums to free up a remote for the mic).
Got our whole family jamming by having 4 wii remotes and buying an additional guitar (guitar, bass, drums, and vocals!)
...and yes, it would have been nice to know that an additional remote was necessary (since most folks have only 2). we purchased the game "wii play" because it came with another remote to get our 3rd remote, and then just bought another remote to make the foursome. also would have been good to know that some of the songs listed on the box had to be earned by playing gigs, not just immediately available or by putting in cheat codes.

My wireless guitar is working but it keeps asking for a microphon

It could be that the joystick controller needs to be remapped to a different location. The microphone overlays the joystick, but if the stick is mapped to one port and microphone is mapped to another you can get this sort of conflict.

How to you just play the microphone and guitar on world tour

On Guitar Hero: World Tour you can play using the microphone and guitar by selecting two profiles and choose the band option in either career mode, quickplay or online. A single profile cannot be used for both microphone and guitar at the same time.

Just got the xbox 360 guitar hero world tour for christmas. We got the drums and guitar working with no problems, but the microphone wont work. Is that supposed to plug directly into the console?

What you need to do is plug the microphone into the xbox 360, then you need to connect a regular 360 controller to the xbox... there are not any buttons on the microphone which is why the controller is needed.
