Question about Mitsubishi WD-52525 52" Rear Projection HDTV
I have a 52 in. Mitsubishi big screen about 7 years old. not hd. Recently, it has begun having a distorted shaky picture for the first few minutes after I turn it on. Something's going out I'm afraid. worth trying to get fixed or should i go with new tv?
Those have a problem with the capacitors going bad in power supply. Yes, it's worth having checked out because a GOOD shop will be able to fix the problem and not have to change a board. Very common problem with these sets. Mine did the same thing until I fixed it. Just do your homework when finding a shop. Call around and talk to other people in the area to see who they use etc.. Good luck. Could be a very simple repair. Have it checked.
