1.You should reinstall the software if you can.

2.Then go to add remove hardware and remove if from there.

3. if this still does not work out the reinstall again and find the folder with the uninstall file. ( right click desktop icon select properties click find target ) and click the uninstall file.

Your windows registry still contains elements that want to use the software. By just deleting your folder / files you have left all of the hidden commands in windows that is used to start the program.

80004003 error failed to burn roxio keeps poping up when I try to burn a dvd in Roxio 10 How can I fix this?

What ever computer you have, you need to update your BIOS to the latest version. Then reboot the computer and try burning another disc and see if the same message come up.

Also try a different brand of blank discs as well. That would cause that message to come up as well.

Hello there:
what they are trying to tell you is that you do not have a cd burner suit (program) installed somthing like roxio cd burning suit is a verry good program or if you have the restore disks that came with the computer it will be on the cd rom that has the driver utility on it. You can also contact dell as www.dellsupport.com and they will be able to give you the number to the technical support dept. and they can tell you what cd burner is supposed to be in the computer and they might be able to help you retrive it ok?
I hope that this has been very helpful for you.

Getting older programs to run on Windows XP Getting older programs to run on Windows XP Most programs run properly on Windows XP. The exceptions are some older games and other programs that were written specifically for an earlier version of Windows. To run your program on Windows XP, try the following:
  1. Run the Program Compatibility Wizard. As an alternative, you can set the compatibility properties manually.
  2. Update your program, drivers, or hardware.
These options are covered in detail below.
The Program Compatibility Wizard This wizard prompts you to test your program in different modes (environments) and with various settings. For example, if the program was originally designed to run on Windows 95, set the compatibility mode to Windows 95 and try running your program again. If successful, the program will start in that mode each time. The wizard also allows you to try different settings, such as switching the display to 256 colors and the screen resolution to 640 x 480 pixels.
If compatibility problems prevent you from installing a program on Windows XP, run the Program Compatibility Wizard on the setup file for the program. The file might be called Setup.exe or something similar, and is probably located on the Installation disc for the program.
To run the Program Compatibility Wizard
  1. Start the Program Compatibility Wizard.
  2. Follow the instructions in the wizard.

Unable to load Roxio Creator 2009. Message says 'wizard was interrupted, your system has not been modified'. My operating system in Vista Home Premium.

During the installation of DirectX 9 portions of Creator 2009, the installation halts, it perhaps tries to roll back, gives an error....wizard was interrupted ... and cannot be completed.

Resolution
Open My Computer (or Computer for Vista users) from your Start menu.

Go to C: drive -> Windows folder -> System32 folder.

Look for a file called dsetup.dll in the System32 folder.

Rename the file to "dsetupOLD.dll" or delete the file.

Reinstall Creator 2009 and follow the on-screen instructions.

It helped some..

Check the system requirements on the side of the software box and see if it will run and what version it will run on. My guess is that the roxio software is older and will not work on your version of the OS.

Having installed Roxio Creator 10, I get a recurring message: "RoxMMTrayApp Module has encountered a problem and needs to close." Etc. It occurs even when I am not editing with that software. ...

ROXIO Multi Media Tray Application Module Has Encountered a problem and needs to close.

This Means ROXIO Creator 10 Try Application Encountered an error.

And since it happens while burning a disc

You should

1. Uninstall ROXIO Creator 10 , and reinstall it to make sure nothing is corupted.

2. If you still get the same problem it's time to check your intire system for errors.

This can mean you will need to take trouble shooting steps.

1. Use another burning program to see if you can burn without errors.

2. if you can burn fine with another burning program like NERO then chances are
you have an incompatability with ROXIO Creator 10 and should consult the documentation
to see if your drive is actually supported by it.

Do these things weed hopper and all will be well with you.
