Question about Imperial IFS40 Deep Fryer

Thermocupler wire broke

The thermocupler wire broke on my imperial fryer. Can it be spliced or does it have to be replaced? If I can splice it to keep it working until new part arrives.

Yes.. you can splive thermocouple wires. it could be polarity senstive though so get it.

What do i use to jump the thermostat on an imperial fryer?

I'm not sure on how to wire the new valve for the Imperial IFS40 Deep Fryer does any one know ?

Fryer will only go to 250 degrees

Try to clean the pilot orfice,ive seen even though the pilot stays lit it doesnt have enough millivolts to energize the gas valve.Did you check the wiring really good?

T-stat calls for heat


most likley problem is the thermopile.it could be the valve but i would replace the thermopile first,its a cheap part.contact imperial for it.its also easy to replace.also make sure all wire connections are good,clean and tight.
