Dcs-5300 camera video loss

I've been using 4 dlink dcs-5300 as our ip cctv camera since feb 2012 located at the inside lobby of our building with panning movement. Now i am experiencing video loss on certain angle but not the total video viewing of the camera. we tried cleaning it by blowing compressed air to get rid of the dust. upon installation, it will be ok but after some hours, the video loss will occur. WHAT CAUSES THE VIDEO LOSS? HOW CAN I FIX IT? THANKS!

SOURCE: My DLink 5300 G internet camera suddenly says "No Signal."

  1. Remove the Java update and roll it back to the previous state.
  2. If it does not resolve the issue, reset the camera.
  3. Lightly insert a paper clip or a similar sized object into the reset hole on the back of the camera, press lightly and then release the button.
  4. The LED on the front of the camera will begin blinking red and green.
  5. When the LED stops the blinking, the reset has complete.
  6. If the issue is still present, restore the camera to factory settings.
  7. Insert the paperclip or other tool and press on the button continuously.
  8. Wait for the LED on the front of the camera to blink red and green and hold the button through two cycles of blinking (about 5-7 seconds.)
  9. Withdraw the tool after the second cycle of the LED blinking and factory restore has been completed.
  10. Run the installation wizard. If you don't have the installation CD, go to the manufacturer's website and download the software.

Dlink cloud camera buzzing

I had the same issue - this is a bad amplifier in the camera, I was under warranty when it happened, they sent me a new one. Dlink cameras are hit and miss. I have some INDOOR camera that have been running OUTSIDE (covered) in FL for years. Then I had one inside 6 months - just stopped working. Their quality is so, so.

There are several possible answers, but you need to supply more information. You did not say how you get to the Internet, which company, cable, DSL, or satellite? Most satellite companies will not allow cameras to be seen outside the network.

How to set Static local IP Address for D-link DCS 5220 IP Camera? Am using Linksys WRTG54 Router, with SSID & WPA. I had set the D-Link DCS wireless to use the same SSID and WPA, but once I plug out...

To set a static IP on the camera, do the following:

1. Chose an IP address for the camera that is outside your normal DHCP range but within your network subnet.
For example, if your router uses DHCP and gives out addresses in the range of 192.168.1.1 up to 192.168.1.10, you should chose an IP address beyond that (e.g. 192.168.1.20).
2. Login to your camera's current IP address and go to Setup -> Network setup
3. Turn off DHCP and type in the IP address that you chose into the configuration.
4. Restart your camera.

The above should fix your Static IP address question.

With regards to your Wireless question, you should make sure of the following:
1. Your router is set to broadcast its SSID
2. Your router is setup to use WPA (not WPA2)
3. Your AES password in the camera config is the same as that as the routers

Hope this helps
