I would reinstall the audio device driver. Try this: http://www.acerpanam.com/flex/acer/bin/acer.html#app=2766&9e7c-selectedIndex=0&3386-selectedIndex=2&bca4-selectedIndex=1&bf37-selectedIndex=1&4f90-selectedIndex=1
scroll down to Realtek Audio Driver. Follow directions from there.

The motherboard is dead. if its new within 12 moths ring up acer and book it in for repair if its outside of warranty then you will need to buy a replacement from an online auction place or a computer repair shop.
1. It may be the ram sticks are not secure or seated properly. 2. It may be that the luminous tube that give the LCD it light has failed. In any instance you will need to have your laptop serviced by a tech. There could also be a bad inverter. This may be on the motherboard itself if so then a mother board needs replacement.
Hello, I have an old Acer Aspire 3680, the problem is once i press the power button the screen is frozen displaying only the Acer logo, i cannot even go to the BIOS (pressing F2) to change my setting to boot from a CD. Please help. THX
That's really not advisable. At our shop we do socket repairs, I suggest finding someone local who specialises in laptops and asking them to replace it. You can get the sockets on e-bay, etc, if you wish to try it at home, though I don't advise it.
