My printer makes funny noises, shakes and gets in fault

With the roll, it unrolls about 12" on the tray, then backs up too far. I feed it again and it does the same...Screen blinks a cross on paper and a finger on a button. With sheets it takes it a shoots it off blank, same display on the screen

- I kept it unplugged for 15' same results, shoots a blank sheet and shows same error on screen

- I have this thing configured it drives paper off the roll on the tray, then backs off too far off the printer and goes to fault!

Unplug the unit for about 10 to 15 mins from the power outlet. After that plug it back in and try again. While its unplugged check for any paper inside the rollers. If the unplugging does not work message back with the brand and model of your printer.

You need to configure your printer for the correct paper size and tray.  --print preferences, used to set the page layout and paper

I am assuming this is a personal home printer. If this is a networked printer, let me know

You can access the properties of local printers by selecting the printer and choosing the Set printer
properties option of the Printer Tasks panel
Under the advanced tab is print processor configuration
Check spooling options and make sure it is in the order you want. You can have it print either during the spooling or after.

- Actually....make sure you have ink in the toner or ink cartridges. You may need to change them if it is shooting out blanks.
If your ink level is good, reinstall an updated driver for your printer for your operating system (Windows Vista, XP, etc)

- Okay, I know what is going on...Try a different type of paper. The paper you are using may not be compatible with your printer. Yep, and HP is very senseitive to that type of thing, unfortunately.

What is the error you get on the screnn?

Try uninstalling the driver, reboot the PC and reinstall.

turn it off then unplugg power cord wiat 5 min then see what do u ve

if its still the same problem that means mechnic problem and for sure not easy to solve!!
