You need to configure your printer for the correct paper size and tray.
--print preferences, used to set the page layout and paper
I am assuming this is a personal home printer. If this is a networked printer, let me know
You can access the properties of local printers by selecting the printer and choosing the
Set printer
properties option of the Printer Tasks panel
Under the advanced tab is print processor configuration
Check spooling options and make sure it is in the order you want. You can have it print either during the spooling or after.
Any other questions, let me know

- did you configure the printer?Dec 03, 2008
- Actually....make sure you have ink in the toner or ink cartridges. You may need to change them if it is shooting out blanks.
If your ink level is good, reinstall an updated driver for your printer for your operating system (Windows Vista, XP, etc)Dec 03, 2008
- Okay, I know what is going on...Try a different type of paper. The paper you are using may not be compatible with your printer. Yep, and HP is very senseitive to that type of thing, unfortunately.
