Scan bar won't move

Scan bar acts as if the lock mechanisim is on, but its not. Model AL-1631. No warning lights or error codes. Just a scan bar that tries to slide but can't.

under the scanner sharp tapes a connector to the scan bar. the tape probly came off and is sticking to the bottom, remove tape and it should work
