I can't get the dishwasher off of 'lock'. The red light blinks and the dishwasher won't turn on. The directions on the inside of the door says' to press the 'no heat dry' pad for 4 seconds. Tried it several times. That dosen't work. I shut off the breaker switch to the dishwasher to try to reset it. That didn't work either. I would really appreciate any help you can offer me. Yolonda
Try holding the no heat dry button until the light goes off..
I know it says for 4 seconds.
Mine does the same thing so someone either can't count or they count very slowly
Little nip Most likely the problem with your dish washer is one or more pads on the control panel are shorted. To fix it the control panel has to be replaced. If you are going to do it yourself, I need the complete model number (on the door frame) and the color for the panel. Then I can find the best deal for you. Gendos...post back

I also need the color for the panel

The color of the dishwasher is black and thank-you much. Your suggestion was very helpful. My kids have no idea how to wash dishes by hand.
Sincerely,

My kenmore dishwasher has the same issue: the 'Lock On' button will not get the light to come off even after holding it down for 4 seconds or disconnecting power supply. I'm thinking the keypad is shorted out. Model # is 665 15772990 and the unit is white.
Same problem-tried both procedures-hold th eheat dry for all lengths of time-hold the clear for 10 secpnds (or until light goes out-which it does, but comes back on when button released!)
Ours is Stainlews steel-same machine though-just a different set of cloths!
Frustrated-puzzled!
