How to connect wifi wirelessly to a compaq presario 1800

Your laptop doesn't come with a wifi adapter. Buy a USB wifi adapter.
If you're still using Win ME get rid of it. Try XP or Win 7. Get the most RAM installed that you can.

Cant locate wireless networks

there should be a button that will turn on your wifi on yer computer. but most of the time, you just wont be in any range of any wireless networks and if u are, and still dont see em, then the router is probably turned off or not working.

Aspire 6930 wireless button not working

Without any wireless networks available, using your computer wirelessly is most pointless. If you want to set up a wireless access point in your home you need a wireless router, connected to Internet.
