Question about Garmin StreetPilot C330 GPS Receiver
THE SIGNAL COMES AND GOES MOSTLY GOES. IT WORKS ABOUT 25% OF THE TIME IM MY 2008 HIGHLANDER, HOWEVER IT WORKS WELL IN MY 2004 CHEVROLET IMPALA.
Most likely, the there is something in the construction by shape or dimensions of the vehicle that is attenuating the signal strength. Microwave frequencies such as from satellites can be critical.
If your GPS has an external antenna connection, you can go to a Garmin dealer and get an external antenna kit. This should increase the reception strength.
Just for your interest, the newer models of GPS have improved design of their front end, thus giving better reception. I found this right away when I bought a new GPS.
