Can't get into computer at all without password? THIS IS NOT A TOSHIBA BIOS ISSUE. It is a Toshiba laptop security password. It has nothing to do with the BIOS. Password for bios only locks you out of Cmos, not out of the computer itself. I need help resetting or deleting the security password to get into my Toshiba Satellite 1800!

Hi there,
You can change your password by logging on with another account with Admin rights.
Then go to Users in Control Panel. -> Start / settings / control panel, or
Right click “This computer” and choose manage.

If this doesn’t work, there is quite a few excellent easy to use programs you can download for free, to change or reset your password:
you will need to burn the disc image to a CD using software that supports burning of ISO images. With this disk, you just boot your system (note that the CD drive should be the first boot).

There are many solutions to reset a BIOS password, here are just a few:

This link take you to a program called CmosPwd::

    http://www.pcsupport.dk/software/CMOSBIO...

CmosPwd decrypts password stored in cmos used to access BIOS SETUP.

CmosPwd works with the following BIOSes:

    ACER/IBM BIOS

    AMI BIOS

    AMI WinBIOS 2.5

    Award 4.5x/4.6x/6.0

    Compaq (1992)

    Compaq (New version)

    IBM (PS/2, Activa, Thinkpad)

    Packard Bell

    Phoenix 4 release 6 (User)

    Gateway Solo - Phoenix 4.0 release 6

    Toshiba

    Zenith AMI

With CmosPwd, you can also backup, restore and erase/kill cmos.

Another way around BIOS password is using one of these Backdoor-passwords:

    Using a Backdoor BIOS Password:

The backdoor password is a BIOS password that works, no matter what the user sets the BIOS password to. These passwords are generally used for testing and maintenance. Manufacturers typically change the backdoor BIOS passwords from time to time.

    Sorry m8,

Right at the top, I told you to burn an image, but I never told you from where you got it, - here it is:

This link take you to a program called CmosPwd::

    http://www.pcsupport.dk/software/CMOSBIO...

This is the iso file you burn to a CD with one of the above burn-programs.

Do you pass the BIOS (setup)?

Do you se Windows start up, and THEN you have to provide a password?

Then it IS a BIOS password, - you should have found your password in what I wrote to you, but I found this, try it out:

    Toshiba
To reset the password of a Toshiba, you can use KeyDisk. If this doesn't work, you can try to build the Toshiba Parallel loopback. To make a simple device that you connect to your parallel port, a lot of Toshiba computers remove the password when you boot it up. The device, named "loopback" by some, could be made out of any parallell wire with 25pins connectors (db25). You should connect these pins: 1-5-10, 2-11, 3-17, 4-12, 6-16, 7-13, 8-14, 9-15, 18-25

if you want to try the KeyDisk then here is the link:

When less than a quarter feel the need to vote for the effort some of us at FixYou offer, I think to myself, ”is it worth it”.

They get help, and do not care to thank you; “thank you” do not cost a dime, so why????

Sounds like a bios password. check which bios your machine and google bios backdoor passwords. You will find a list of master passwords. If this doesn't work try removing the bios battery then power on the machine and switch it off again. replace the battery and your machine might start. I have successfully used both methods.

System=intel Celeron D W3507 When I turn it on it goes straight to a black screen asking for a system password I've tried every password I know but I can't get in please help

If you don't see windows, then it's a BIOS password, and you would know if you set one. Unplug it and hit the power button, then touch metal, and pull the battery out for ten minutes. After you put the battery back in the motherboard, and plug it in you need to hit delete at start and enter the BIOS to set the time and date, then move over to exit and save changes.

I can't remember the password for my laptop (Compaq Presario CQ60)

if you have another pc or can use a friends you can download "Hirens Boot CD" it's free and you just need to burn it to a disk and boot from it. Once it boots up it has a lot of tools including one you can remove the password. If you need help using it you can google it there is plenty of information.

I need to put this computer back to fact spect. i do not know the passward on it.

I think even with the FKey you're likely to be asked for the password. This is one of the things that makes me hate erasing Acers.

Order a free Ubutu disk. While waiting for it google acer factory password ubutu. The disk can be used to view passwords, but it's a bit technical.

This one issue makes me hate Acer!

(What are the manufacturers thinking! Nobody writes passwords down when they get a new toy! Even if they did, they've always lost it by the time the thing needs to be erased. Enough rant!)

I've forgotten my password and i don't know how can i recover its! please can you help me, my father will mesage me in 3 days please please please...........

What you'll need is a program called Ophcrack. Here's a link:

http://ophcrack.sourceforge.net/

It cracks Windows passwords quickly using a method called rainbow tables. What you need to do is put the file you download onto a CD, DVD, or USB drive. Once you've done that, you need to restart your computer. When it boots up, press the F key (F3, F5, something like that) or whatever it says to enter setup. Navigate though your BIOS to the startup sequence. Change the startup sequence so that whatever kind of drive the Ophcrack ISO is on will boot before the operating system. Restart your computer again. Ophcrack should get the passwords. Write them down and try them until you find the right one.

Hope that helped!

If you need a more in depth guide, I googled for you and found this:

Unable to login with password asking to reset with reset cd

I have a utility I use whenever I work on someone's computer who has forgotten their PW, or have inherited it from others, etc. and don't have the PW. It might help with your trouble. At the very least, it won't help and no harm done.

You can download from my website at;

http://home.centurytel.net/vfw_987/ntpb.zip

Simply save the file to your computer and unzip it. Make sure there is a 1.44mb floppy in the floppy drive and run the install.bat file. Then reboot from the floppy drive and follow the prompts. The program will blank all Windows passwords and you can then reboot and enter a new PW or not, as you prefer.

Possibility of a solution, but you gotta trust me on this. I won't beoffended if you ignore this or scan the utility with a mal-wareprogram. In fact, I recommend it!

Hope this helps.

Samsung g600 password is locked

Have you tried zeros? You can possibly try six zero's or even four zero's, depending on the limit of numbers the device will allow. However, if you manually changed the lock code, the default code will not work. Some handsets require the last four numbers of the # attached to the device. Give that a try too. I'm sorry your having trouble with your wireless carrier. Hope this information can be somewhat beneficial.
