Re: I can turn my sandisk player on but its stuck...

I had to get 2 sansa 250's as they both did that after feww hours all by their selves. No files were transfeder and was only using fm function. after calling factory they said to return to store or send to factory, maybe they could fix it? Took them both back and got a philips that worked great but when my computer unplugged itself, it crashed the device. Now no on function and restore will not work as the pc will not see player anymore. Nice devices! will try support from manufact. but tried resetting w/battery out etc, with no success. Suggest updating firmware as soon as connection is accepted to pc. Hope I helped.

Cant edit the songs, unable to view

Check if the songs you transferred are mp3 or wma or try another XP service pack ( You could just try it on another pc)

Mp3 is frozen after downloading a new song off of a website!!

let the battery die. hook it up via usb and reflash it using sansa firmware updater. it will erase everyting but at least it will start working again.

Songs gone

try going to windows media player, updating your library, then going to the sandisk site, find the update dowload, run that then re- hook up your mp3 player to the computer!

Try this;

Run the recovery tool from the SanDisk website. Make sure you select "format" when prompted.

You need to put the device into "recovery mode" before you run the tool.

- Turn the device off (hold power for 20 seconds)
- Slide the hold switch into "hold" position.
- Press and hold the "record" button while connecting it to your computer. Keep holding the "record" button until you see the "new hardware found" on your computer.

Then run the recovery tool. Select format when prompted.

Best of Luck.

Removing bad tracks

I beleive your player saves a lists as well as the song itself. the easiest way to fix it is to (if possible) use windows explorer, goto your player and look for a folder that says "albums" or "list", scroll thru and delete the folder of the songs that you have deleted.

Sansa is acting weird....

Well, you need to return it for a new one. If it has happened in so many few weeks, you need to. It sounds like you may have downloaded a virus. you are going to reboot it and or restart it, you have tried this so it sounds like it is just messed up. exchange it or send it in to get it reset. It will run you about $35. Thanks, Connie
