Question about Audio Players & Recorders

1 Answer

I got a new I pod nano chromatic and I want to be able to sync it manually so that I can delete music on my computer without deleting it from my I pod. It said in the manual that it has an automatic sync meaning whatever i do to my list it does on my I pod. I can not seem to figure out how to change it to manual sync. the instructions that it gives in the manual are not clear and i do not see those options on the i tunes screen.

So does this mean that if I add a song to my I pod and then delete it on my I tunes list the next time I hook up my I pod to my computer that song will be deleted on my I pod as well? I dont want that, but I dont want to keep a lot of music files on my computer as well.

and if I can not do this manually does this mean that every song on my computer will be added to my I tunes list automatically?

You cant actually do it manually. You have to use itunes and you can just put one song on that you like then delete it (thats the only prob with apple ipod).

Sorry

If you have any questions plese dont hesitate to ask

That is correct it is really painful i know. But if you add all your songs to your your ipod and just put the ones you want in a folder that could work.

And itunes even change you sound settings on your ipod to what you have on your computer and vise versa. so if you set bass boost on your ipod then itunes will make its sound settings to bass boost.

So sorry but you have to do it the way you have been doing it its the down side to ipod

If you have any questions please dont hesitate to ask

I would like to add my i-pod to the receiver so i could listen to the music what kind off cable would i need

An i-pod provides a standard headphone level output. The AVR-1803 has nine RCA stereo inputs that will accept the signal from the i-pod. You need a 3.5mm stereo TRS plug on one end and two RCA plugs on the other end to connect your i-pod to your amplifier. Note: Be careful to select a 3.5 mm plug that has a slim enough plastic moulding to fit into the i-pod headphone output. On your amplifier you simply select the analogue input that you have chosen to use. Be careful of levels when you are setting up. Set the volume of your i-pod to about 50% and set the input sensitivity to zero, press play on your i-pod and gradually increase the gain on your amplifier input. Hope this helps, Don.

I have an ipod problem where everything is deleted but music still remains in the ipod control failure..however weneva i try adding songs using itunes it fails..and it says nothing is inserted into drive...

Which version of Windows are you using to sync to iTunes? You may have to run a factory restore on the iPod and hope your backup is current enough to restore everything.
iTunes hates 64 bit versions of Windows prior to Windows 7.

My ipod is lock how do i unlock it my sister put a code in and it wont unlock.

plug it into your computer.

open itunes.

click on your ipod in the bar on the left side of itunes.

click the button under the picture of your ipod that says "restore". this'll delete all your songs, but it'll unlock the code that your sis put on it, or at least, it should.

if it doesn't do it automatically, click the "Sync" button after the ipod has been restored, and you should be good to go with all your music, and without that code.

Why wont it play???

Hi Jacqui h,

I assume this is a RF system that inputs through the FM aerial.

The instructions should give you a specific frequency.
You will have to tune the radio manually to this frequency and select a pre-set number.
