Manfrotto Tripod head 390RC2 falling apart

Brand new tripod and it's falling apart? The main lever below where the camera sits is very loose and I can't see or find any way to take it apart to tighten it? Is there a diagram that shows how these heads are put together?

are you just mounting a camera to the tripod itself? - you need to purchase a head as well - the head screws onto the top of the tripod, and then the camera fixes to the head, usually with a qr plate.

There's a wiggle when I try to pan side to side (so there's always a slight **** in the video). This is a fairly new tripod (Manfrotto 7321yb), so not sure if it's a defect, or something that I need to...

The first thing that comes to mind with this issue is that this is not a real video tripod. This is a still tripod. With that said you might just want to try to make sure the pan/tilt locks are fully unlocked, then move the head back and fourth quickly (without the camera attached) for a few seconds to actually warm up the head.
Hope that helps!

The head of my dynex tripod is loose how can this be repaired?

There are some brands of tripods that are made for the retailer and the name is licensed, so the name brand does not support or stock repair parts. Especially if the tripod is an inexpensive one. Because of the model and make of you tripod, I would recommend you throw it out and buy another one. In my opinion Slik and Manfrotto are two very good ones. Slik for the lesser expensive and Manfrotto for the more durable, expensive, parts are almost always available unless is it really old tripod. Try www.TripodQuickRelease.com for that part. There is listed the widest selection of quick releases and support more brands than any other web site I've seen.

Tripod head

If the head is loose on the tripod follow these instructions:
There are three small set screw (grub screws) that are under the head, net to the center column. You will have to raise the center column and look under the head. These are slotted screw heads and a small to medium screwdriver should work. You don ot have to remove the grub screws completely, but you should back them out at least half way. The head will unscrew off the center column. The gray part below the head is half the head attachment and half the center column end plate so it should separate in the middle line between the two.

If screws came out elsewhere, we will need to know the model number of the head that came apart.

Attaching head to tripod

video cameras come with a 1/4-20 threaded socket in the.  Make sure the 3066 has this size screw projecting form the place where the camer is attached.  The two Manfrotto should be compatible
The only time fitting together becomes a problem is if you are into the heavy duty professional equipment.
We especially like the Manfrotto fluid heads and have several in our facility.

Breakdown Manfrotto 3265 ball head from 190xb tripod

IT SOME TIMES TAKES A LOT OF EFFORT TO SEPARTE THE HEAD FROM THE TRIPOD. MAKE SURE YOU REMOVE THE 3 LITTLE SCREWS FROM BELOW THE HEAD, AND MAKE SURE THE TRIPOD AND HEAD ARE NOT COLD. IF THEYA RE WARM THEY WILL SEPARATE EASIER.
