Zoom problem

posted by sreekidu on Feb 14, 2007

my device (mini dv Gr Dx 307) (which is showing zoom getting in to tele mode ,i.e, going from 1x to 10x and not coming back),after one month from purchase was totally rejected from jvc srevice(cochin, kerala, india) centre asking me to show the bill which i dont have ,since i bought it from dubai and lost my bill in between, i only kept warranty card and that too for a fresh mini dv camera, who in the world think this type of reputed brand like JVc will cause problem ,and even if it happens it would be rejected from service centre. Still i am using my device which is now 2 years old at the MERCY of GOD Praying continuously that if the zoom started to get struck my entire footage will be waste.. and it happens once in 10 or 20 minutes also.

If i am not treated as the way it should be done to a customer of yours ,who have almost all the home appliance of JVC,purchased as a set from dubai along with this camcorder.. there will not be a single purchase of this brand from me and from my loved ones.. thats for sure..

with great inconvenience

hi,
i got my camera repaired ,the problem was with the loose contact of the zoom button base.. they told that the board under the main zoom lever had corroded and that caused the problem.

thank u guys

NV-MD9000 , NV-GS11, NV-GS60 and all other camcorders have problem of "Push the reset button"(flashed on LCD after 2-3 months . This problem is due to some company defect in soldering in Main board.

Get the cam checked by a good electronics tech guy instead of taking to panasonic service centre coz in service centre they will simply ask you to change the board.

all the best my friend

Sreejith,

I am sorry to hear that you're having this problem with your JVC, it is really a good camera. A possible problem in your camera is the harness that connects the lens can come loose and the camera looses its feedback from the lens position sensor. The lens does not know what position it's in so it defaults to its startup position. I would refer the service to a qualified service tech, there are many items that can be damaged in this camera if it is disassembled incorrectly.
Good luck my friend.
