Try getting into the BIOS and making sure that it is detecting the RAM and HDD and Processor. Typically this happens when theres no memory or a memory problem. If its the Hard drive it will say NTLDR missing or Hard Drive failure. When its blank.

Does the Hard drive fire up when its sitting there? Does it seem like it booting the Hard drive or does it just sit there.

Also, if you have an onboard Video and a video card, try using just the onboard video for now, sometimes the Video card can cause an issue if it doesnt have drivers and comes up blank.

Make sure the bios has the video set to PCI or AGP depending which you have intstall. Or Auto if it has it.

I have had two Gigabyte board and im using one now and have had similar issues that where caused by a ATI video card.

Good luck and let me know if you still need help.

well, you have to set it to SATA if your using sata drives. You cant hook a SATA to the CD Drive unless its SATA as well. Your CD Drive is probably IDE. If you have a Hard Drive thats IDE, make sure the jumper on it is set to MASTER and then plug it into the master IDE ribbon or the one at the end and the cd drive jumper is set to Slave or cable select and put it on the second IDE connector.

The jumper is the plastic conector that is on the metal pins next to where the ribbon plugs in. The case should have a diagram showing which jumper setting is for master and slave and Cable select.

The thing is, even without a hard drive you should at least be able to get into the bios

Sir, my samsung sm2950 pc is not working when i starts there is no display respons comes from it and a beep comes from it please help me

well if you are getting a beep sound from your pc , then you may have a hardware problem , it could be your hard drive or anything else inside your computer ram or hard drive etc....the best thing id to disconnect any hardwere you may have put into the computer but disconnect them one at a time , and try to reboot should only get one beep on boot up ...then your computer should work ok ....
it seems that one hardware componant is not working or not installed properly.

Pc boots and stays on the black screan

The current configuration of the Skystar card is probably trying to use the same interrupt as your video or there is another hardware conflict between your PCI card and something else in the system. Boot into BIOS without the Skystar card in the machine and go to the PCI options. Tell it to reset the PnP information (actually happens on the next reboot). Exit and save the changes but shut off the computer without allowing it to boot up. Install the Skystar card and turn on the computer. The BIOS should reconfigure all of your Plug and Play hardware to automatically eliminate any hardware conflicts and the system should come up normally.

Incessent beeping and won't boot

you told that your PC was ok last night. and again told at morning when you started it then it started giving beep. there may have 2-3 problems.

1. your processor has become loose, so unplug and plug the processor again correctly.

2. cooling fan can't cool the heat sinker properly. so test it that if the cooling fan is working properly.

3. The RAM can be loose. So test the RAM. Unplug the RAM and then plug it perfectly.

but you told that you PC is starting and then shutting down giving a beep. so i think you PC problem is number 2. and I hope you follow the number 2.

Blank screen after xp welcome screen no power to keyboard

Ok, with your current set up, what beeps are you getting? Also, while you have a blank desktop, hit CTRL+ALT+DELETE and you'll have Task Manager come up, click File and then New Task and type in "explorer" without quotes and hit enter. That should restore your desktop. Let me know how it goes.
