HOW DO YOU INSTALL THE FUSER WIPER IN A LEXMARK T634?
WE HAVE A LEXMARK T634 AND WE ARE HAVING PROBLEMS WITH OUR LABELS AND WE HAVE DECIDED THAT IT MIGHT HAVE SOMETHING TO DO WITH THE FUSER WIPERS SINCE THERE HASN'T BEEN ONE IN THE PRINTER FOR A WHILE. WELL THE ONE THAT WE HAVE DOESN'T SEEM TO WANT TO GO IN IT SO WE WANT TO KNOW HOW TO INSTALL IT OR IF WE HAVE GOTTEN THE RIGHT ONE FROM OUR SUPPLY COMPANY FIRST. I TRIED TO GO ONLINE AND PULL UP A USER GUIDE LIKE I WAS INSTRUCTED TO DO WITH NO LUCK FINDING ANYTHING TO HELP ME. MAYBE I WASN'T FINDING THE RIGHT THING THOUGH. I WAS WANTING TO KNOW IF YOU COULD HELP ME SO I COULD PUT THE FUSER WIPER IN OUR PRINTER SO I COULD TRY TO RESOLVE OUR PROBLEM. THANKYOU.

The T642 is a monochrome printer and as such does not have an Oil wiper. The only wiper that should be needed with this printer is the hard plastic one that ships with the printer. These wipers are permanent and are only replaced when you install a new fuser. Oil wipers are usually only used with color laser printers.
If you are having trouble printing a picture of something with your Lexmark Laser Printer, while it prints text fine, it may be a memory issue. In the 'old days' Laser printers required their own RAM to be upgraded for fancy printing, today many of these problems are solving be 'sharing' RAM from the PC. Ensure you are not running many programs and have available RAM or virtual RAM on your computer (after a reboot for example) and try printing again.
Try replacing the fuser bulb located inside the fuser roller. This is accessible from the back of the printer. Remove the plastic piece on the back, unplug the two wire connections to the fuser, remove the toner wiper on top, and then remove the fuser. On one side of the fuser, you'll have a protruded plastic piece with two screws in it. Remove that piece and you'll see one more very tiny screw on top and another regular sized screw on bottom. Remove those both and the plastic piece. Inside you'll find the fuser bulb.
