On the Intellifax, there is a glass bar that runs across and allows the fax machine to read the image. Take out the entire drum unit and you should see that bar in the middle of the machine, careful it can be hot. Take an alcohol swab, or a q-tip dipped in alcohol and rub it from left to right on the glass bar. You may also see some spilled toner that is causing the streaks. Remove any toner with the alcohol swabs, do not use water or try to vacuum (huge mess if you do). You do not have to get all the toner, just make sure the glass bar is clean. That should do it.

You most likely have a bad toner cartridge, The light sensitive drum will probably have a score mark in it causing the issue. Do a "copy" before replacing it, and then afterwards to prove it it has been fixed.

Black Streak

I would first try a diffent cartridge. If that doesn't work then you might have a bad transfer roller, the printer may need service.

Blank Streaks

streaks are caused either by the toner, drum, lamp or fuser.

If you make a copy and it does not show a streak then it was done by the person sending the fax. BUT, check this,

open door and take out toner cartridge. look for a thin glass that is on the bottom of the machine and wipe it. Toner spills will cause a black streak.

Black streaks on the fax

Yes it does, the rubber blade that cleans the drum is not doing its thing properly, hence leaving your mark, pull the drum unit out and expose drum by pulling back the cover underneath it, you should see your mark on the drum, don't touch drum with fingers or brush/clean it, it is photosensitive too so keep away from light for any period of time.
