Picture is too large to show on screen

Check its picture settings. Check whether 'Zoom' function is ON.

With your Remote Control MENU and enter in the search the option of screen and To get the appropiate that like for you.

Please note that all HDTV channels project wide screen pictures. You can still go to settings and then picture mode and change the format to 4:3/full mode.

It appears that on this television you can only adjust the picture size when you are using the twin picture feature. You must adjust the picture size with your other remote control. Since I do not know whether you are connected to a cable box or a satellite tv box or a blu ray player or a DVD player I cannot be very specific. On your other remote control you should had an hd zoom button, aspect, format, ratio, #, or etc. Those buttons change the picture size. The other factor determining picture size is the resolution the equipment connected to your tv is set to. This tv supports 1080i but you should also try setting the connected equipment to 720p or 480p or 480i. Also the connected equipment may be connected to your tv in two places so make sure you are on the correct selection using the tv video button on the Sony remote.

the only thing I can tell you is go to menu and check for screen size or what else fails read the manual

try to adjust the screen. it is located behind the CRT board.(CRT board is the board that attached to the picture tube) you will find a black knob which label screen adjust it by turning the knob.

try to adjust the yolk away from the picture tube

What is picture like if you change screen size to 4-3  is this picture size ok & fault only shows in the wide screen formats.

There are no adjustments for this problem,if the unit has been working good for 3 years and suddenly gives you this pix is time to call a qualified technician,among many reasons you might have loose solder conections in the horizontal drive circuit or poor regulation problem in the power supply,if you dont know how and where be safe and call a Technician.
