I was having the same problem and having messed with this oh so many times and on the verge of just trashing the printer, I unplugged the printer, sat in the floor with it, turned it upside down, and gave it a BIG whack on the back. Low-and-behold, a small piece of styrofoam slide out of the cartridge carrier area. It is currently working now, for how long I don't know.

There have two steps to follow;
1, check through the paper path, you will find a sensor make sure it moving freely.
2, check both end of the cartridge carrier track(steel bar) you will find something stuck over there

Paper jam displayed but no paper jam found. Cleaned with air but this did not help. Seems like printer wants to keep resetting itself.

I had this problem and someone on Fixya solved it. Open the back cover and slide the guide slightly. If it's off center it won't work and gives you the jam message even though there's no jam. It solved it instantly.

My printer says it has a paper jam, even though the paper jam has been cleared. It won't print. Any ideas?

Hi, Try pulling out the plug for 1 hour and then try again. Pulling the plug may reset the printer.
Good luck.

Paper jam

The way you describe your error, it seems that there is still some residual paper stuck inside the printer that may cause subsequent paper to be mis-aligned.

Paper jams can be tricky to solve. The paper is usually stuck inside the printer mechanism so even if there is no visible paper jam, you will still get the paper jam error. Try this:

1. Turn off your printer
2. Open all trays and remove any paper stuck there
3. Locate the button to open the printer, open it and remove any paper stuck there also.
4. Repeate the above step for all buttons that you can find to access the inside of the printer
5. Close all doors and put back all trays
6. Turn on your printer

Paper Jam 2

Most probably you took a paper sensor out of position when removing the first jams. In your unit, the paper sensors are connected to the main board or power supply board. If the equipment is under warranty, any authorized service center will gladly replace it for free.
