Question about Acer Aspire 3000 Notebook
The hole where you plug in the charger seems to be broken. the charger itself still has a green light, so i don't think that is the problem. i would have to sit there and hold the charger in a certain place the entire time i was on it. and it seemed to be harder and harder to get it to charge until eventually it stopped all together. what i want to do is download all of my pictures on there to a disc. i don't have a problem sending it to acer and getting it fixed, but i don't want the hard drive wiped clean yet. all i really need is a charged battery to borrow for like 20 minutes until i am finished downloading my pictures. i live in erie,pa. unless there is another way to charge the battery i have? or some other solution. please help!
IDEA! maybe a better solution. Going at this another way. Take the battery out because its what needs charged anyway. You should be able to see the connections.I don't know if it tells you positive or negative tho but this can be done with a voltage meter. If you hook the voltage meter up on dc voltage it will read backwards if its hooked up wrong. This will tell you which one is positive and negative. You can do this with the power supply too.when you have that figured out we are going to connect the power supply directly to the battery. after you cut the plug off and strip the wires connect the wires with tape or anyway you can to make connection and let charger charge till battery is built up.
I wanted to send this too it may be of some help to you sometime. Its an address to a acer manual
God Bless Greg
