For what ever reason my brand new unit....wont run in auto....however the fan will come on if i use manual on for fan then lower the temp...it cools fine but fan runs full time....if i switch it to auto once its running the fan stops, and the unit just starts humming..when i installed the unit i didnt bother hooking up the furnace wires to the ac unit..figured id run two t-stats then trying to chase wires through the walls... any ideas as to why the unit wont work in with the fan on auto setting ??
Make sure your tstat is programmed for electric, not gas. Or in the settings you want that the TSTAT CONTROLS THE FAN.

The fan motor is getting hot and going off on the internal overload in the motor.
This is caused by either a low voltage, a bad capacitor, or tight or dry bearings in the motor.
To check the bearings turn the power off to the unit, then spin the fan blade if it spins freely then the bearings are ok.
To check the capacitor you will need some kind of tester or you can buy a capacitor and replace it, that's what a lot of people do. They usually don't cost very much.
To check the voltage you will need a voltmeter and measure the volts at the unit.

there is a fix for this, when u purchased new board u have to bypass a wire for a/c hook up only.it should be on the instructions that came with board if not, call dometic and ask for tech help they are very good about helping and can send you the diagram thru an e mail.
