Split lemonade the docking station, while it was playing music with my IPod touch in it. I pull my IPod out, turned the docking station off at the wall and pull it out. I tipped the lemonade out onto my floor and i had a clean towel lying around (lucky) so i wiped it off the dock and IPod. The IPod works as normal but the docking station is now sitting under a fan, i got all the water off and i dont know if there is any inside (but i'm sure there is). What do I do or what is wrong if it turns on but wont play music and will it need to be replaced or repaired? If so how much money will this cost?
Turn your iPod off as quickly as possible after it becomes
wet. The longer your device is on after it gets wet, the more likely it
is to suffer severe or irreparable damage. Do not turn it on to see if
it works; running power through the device can cause more damage.
Dock Station

The problem is that Atlec Lansing used a low quality (piece of ****) plug/interface for the dock. If you pull the top of the ipod forward while it is pressed fully onto the docking station, you'll get a surprise. It will work. This problem stumped me for days. Now, the next question is how much tension is the proper amount not to degrade the cheap plug further or damage the ipod itself.
Cheers,
Jeff

Just bought it, haven't tried it - seems to be a very cheap and easy solution!!!!
SOURCE: My Ipod touch won't charge, it plays music
I bought this Charge Converter from CableJive. It allows me to charge my iPhone 3g on many accessories that would not normally charge the newer models and has successfully fixed the issue with my H+K Dock. I definitely recommend checking them out.

I had the same problem. Look at the documentation site of Numark
Ipod touch isn't supported for mixing (1st gen is supported for Direct play)

SOURCE: does the new bose dock station charge the new ipod touch (32g)?
The new SoundDock II charges your new iPod touch and is fully compatible all iPods and the iPhone 3G. Also the SoundDock Portable will do this.
But..
Better news-> Call Bose. They can upgrade the 30-pin connector to charge via USB-only and function with the remote as well. $99. This will make your iPod touch 100% compatible and somewhat future-proof your SoundDock.
If the SoundDock was purchased within 90 days (at full retail price), they will do the upgrade for a smaller fee or even free I think.. (new 1 year warranty given with repair/mod)
btw- This is an Apple issue, not a Bose issue. All 3rd party iPod connection devices had to make this change at some point.
