No, you need to rewire the motor.
the heater elements may not let you do that, since it is rated for 480v.

My incoming voltage is only reading 200v, will this stop the unit from running??

If it needs 208 or 220 then yes it will stop the unit from running.Check the voltage at the circut breaker to verify its not a wiring issue.

You may need to get a new circut breaker. Also check a 115 volt outlet if its is also reading low ,like 100 or 105 volts then the power ccompany is cutting power back and theres nothing you can do.

Muh108 single phase what size breaker to use 40 or 50 amp

IF it is 10KW at 208 single phase it should be on a 60 Amp breaker.
3 Phase would be 35 Amps. Always check the nameplate for additional information. It may be configurable for different voltages. Best to check manufacturers data if available.

I am working with a Dayton 2YU39. The name plates states that it has to be powered by 208 volt system. There's a 3-phase panel and a single-phase panel. The 3-pahse panel L1 to ground is 118 volts. L2 is a...

Hi,
Here's what I think but you will have to check it out...
The fan motor in the 39 heater is a 120V fan there fore it cannot be hooked to the 240 which potentially could have the high (wild) leg as one of the fan legs...
The 240V 36 unit probably has a 240v fan motor....
Now if you were to make sure that the leg that fed the motor was a 120V to ground leg then you will be okay...
Hope you understand where I was going with this...

How to install heater blower motor? I have air conditioner also! it keep blowing a fuse when I replace it and heater will not work at all!

Hello
Most blower motors come with a high or low voltage connections or wiring. So theres 2 options.

You need to be sure of the voltage of the heater 115 v 208 v ?A 115 volt heater needs a 115 v blower.

IF your wiring the blower for 208 and its really 115v your going to blow something.

I'm trying to install a new Fahrenheat 240/208 baseboard heater and it trips the circuit. The old heater was the same 240/208. I initially thought I had miswired the heater but it tripped the circuit...

Hi!
If the circuit breaker is tripping instantly when power is applied to the heater then you have a dead short somewhere. You need to check your wiring again. Either it is wired wrong or you have part of a bare wire that is touching another wire or to ground. If all your wiring is correct then the element could be bad or is grounding out to the cabinet or whatever. Take another good look at all the wiring. Good luck!

Wiring

Since it is a 30 amp heater you need to run #10 gauge wire and use a 2 pole 30 amp breaker, since it is 208/240 volts. I hope this helped you.

Plinthe chauffante baseboard heaters

take a close look at the tubular element with a magnifying glass. the volts value should be stamped into the element. most baseboard heaters are 240 volt at low, high and medium density. wattage could be from 750 to 1500 watts
