Auto Panel Reset
The machine automatically resets all modes and functions to their default settings if one minute has passed without the machine performing any opens.
If the magnetic card is removed from the optional data controller, the machine assumes that the user has changed and automatically resets all modes and functions to their default settings.
When the touch panel is reset, all settings that have not been stored, such as the number of copies, return to their default settings.
The conditions for all modes and functions automatically returning to their default settings can be specified using the “Auto Panel Reset” function on the User’s Choice: 1 screen.

Energy Saver Mode
If the copier is not used for 15 minutes, it automatically enters Energy Saver mode.
When the copier enters Energy Saver mode, the indicator on the [Start] key remains lit in green and the touch panel goes off. The copier conserves energy and waits to receive a job.
If the copier is not used for 30 minutes, it automatically enters Sleep mode.

TI P
The length of time after the last operation until the copier enters Energy Saver mode can be specified using the “Energy Saver” function on the User’s Choice: I screen.

To recover from Energy Saver mode
I Press the [Start] key. (The Energy Saver mode can also be canceled by pressing any key on the operation panel or by touching the touch panel.)
2 The touch panel comes on again, and then after the copier has finished warming up, it is ready to begin printing (after about 30 seconds at normal room temperature (20 °C))

Turning the Copier On and Off

To turn the copier on
-, Set the power switch to “I”.
When the copier is turned on, the indicator on the [Start] key lights up in orange. A screen indicating that the machine is starting up appears.
After a few seconds, the message “Now warming-up. Ready to scan.” appears on the touch panel. When the indicator on the [Start] key lights up in green, a job can be queued.

To turn the copier off
I Touch [Job Log] to check that no jobs are queued.
2 If any copies or printouts remain in the output tray, remove them.
3 Set the power switch to “0”.
The following are cleared.
• Settings that are not programmed, such as the number of copies
• Data scanned using the “Scan to Memory” function
• Jobs queued to be printed
• Jobs saved with the “Memory Recall” function
Stored zoom ratios, programmed Copy mode settings, Utility mode settings and User Box settings are not erased.
Note
Do not turn off the copier while it is making copies or printing, otherwise a paper mis feed may occur.
Do not turn off the copier while it is scanning or sending or receiving data, otherwise all scanned data or transmission data will be deleted. Do not turn off the copier while a queued job or stored data is waiting to be printed, otherwise the jobs will be deleted.

Default Settings
The settings selected when the copier is turned on (when the power switch is set to “I”) are called the default settings.
The default settings serve as a reference for all settings that are to be made.
• Number of copies: 1
• Color: Auto Color
• Finishing: Non-Sort
• Zoom: 1.000 (Full Size)
• Paper: Auto Paper
• Mixed Orig Detection: Off
• Copy 1 Set: Off
• Original: Single-sided
• Copy: Single-sided
• Original Direction: None specified
• Margin: None
• Thick Original: Off
• Photo/Density: Text&Photo
• Background density: Standard
• Density: Standard
• Glossy Mode: Off
• Auxiliary functions: All off
• Color Image Adjust: Standard
• Creation: All off
Tip
The language of the displays in the touch panel can be changed using the “Language Selected” function on the Admin. Mode: Admin. set screen.
The default settings that the copier resets all functions to can be specified using the Utility mode.

i hope it helps!!!

It can happen if the toner is leaked inside the machine. also it can happen if the toner drum is faulty and needs replacement. it could also happen if the waste tonner collector side of the toner cartridge is full it leaks if gets full and needs to be made empty by disassembling the toner cartridge. the waste side gets full only if the using side of the toner gets empty or low. or the final option replace the toner if the printer is totally cleaned.

Hi and welcome to FixYa,

Basically sounds like a major cleaning of the inside. As this would involve dis-assembly, a step by step procedure as explained in a service manual would be your best bet. Alternately of course would be to seek the services of a qualified professional.

Just a start, do postback how things turned up or should you need additional information. Good luck and Thank you for using FixYa.

Clean the inside of the copier, toner dust gets everywhere after awhile and causes this, also check the cartridge, it may have a problem, rebuilt ones tend to do this.

Sir,

Check both latching hooks sometime one mite break!, also check the cover above the fuser (Hot part). Also check that the paper dust remover has not come out of place. This has two blue arrows on it. Is your duplexer cover on correctly, this cover is and option attached to the right side of the machine.

When copying a book there are black inks in border

If you copy something that is smaller than the paper you are printing on, this will happen, especially with a book. The copier will copy everything within the sensor range, and if there are no area to copy, it will scan in the blank space. With a book, the cover will be elevated, and the sensor will pick up the "black" border you are talking about and copy it to the paper.

C-0991 error on screen

First problem is for some reason your KMC 3130 crosses over to a Konica Minolta CF3102 and there is no C-0991 code listed for those machines. However, that C-0991 code is a common paper tray lift failure code on Konica MInolta machines.
So I would recommend opening and checking all of your paper trays to make sure nothing is binding them and that the paper is loaded properly.
Then open and close the large front door to reset the code.
If the code comes back then open all of your paper trays and LEAVE them open. Next open and close the front door to reset the code. The copier should now come to "ready to copy"
Then close each paper tray 1 at a time waiting 30 seconds between each tray closing. Once the code pops back up after closing a particular tray then you will know for sure which tray is causing the problem.
You can use the copier by leaving this tray open if need be.
Good Luck.

MINOLTA CF3102 PRINTER

This code is related to fusing pressure, which could mean fusing unit malfunction.
Put paper clip through a hole under LED cleaning pads inside the front door to reset.
Caution!!! Not recommend for the end user to reset fusing related codes since it could result in a fire.
