Yes, Mine sticks too, exactly the same. When I moved the dial on slightly it did start to work again but took 9 hours to complete the cycle with what appears to have been cold water!! - HELP we've got a New Years party this weekend and I need my dishwasher - Desperate of Carshalton (Surrey)

My Matsui has the same problem! I've changed the timer but no change! Has anybody solved this problem? I suspect it could be the heating element but I need some confirmation

Check the safety thermostat which is located at the bottom of the dishwasher. you have to remove the bottom plate, and then you will find easily the thermostat-KSD201/PF 90. you have to reset this probably.there is a red wax dot in the middle this thermostat, so remove it and use a needle to press a very small button inside. the heating element is working well probably.you can measure resistance on it to be sure.

Matsui dishwasher mf2w/a not heating

If your Matsui MF2W/A timer stops earlier in its cycle, turn off the water and unplug the machine.

Pull it out and put it on its back. Remove the base panel. Remove the anti-flooding interlock. Unplug the two cables feeding the heater element and check its resistance. Should be 30 ohm or thereabouts. If not the heater's defective and you should replace it.

Pull the cables off each of the two thermostats and check resistance. It should be in the order of .5 ohm or less. If the reading is high then replace.

Remember there are two thermostats fixed to the dishwasher pan. One at the right back lower, and one at the left back lower. For the left hand one you may find it easier to access by removing the lefthand dishwasher panel.

And that's about it. Job done.

White residue on dishes when the dishwasher cycle has completed, not sure why, salt is fine. Is this limescale?

Hi
Make sure that the water is being heated up by your dishwasher. Also need to make sure that the wash motor is spraying water around at full force.

Best way to check this is to start a normal cycle about 10 minutes into the cycle open the dishwasher door during the cycle. 1st observe if the water was being sprayed around as you opened the door. 2nd feel the water and see if it has heated up.
Reset or cancel the cycle and wait for the water to empty. make sure it is draining properly and also check to see if filter is clean.
I'm inclined to think your machine is not heating the water.

I have a matsui mf2s/a dishwasher with no user manual i was wondering where i can get one from or how to clean the dishwasher out properly

Hi,

You can download the manual for the Matsui MF2S / MF2W by clicking on the following link:

http://www.partmaster.co.uk/company/partmaster/manuals/Matsui%20MF2W%20-%20MF2S.pdf

The manual will open in a new browser window or you can click on the link with your right mouse button then choose "Save Target As..." from the popup menu to save it directly to your PC. You will need to have Adobe Reader or any other PDF file viewer installed to open the file:

http://get.adobe.com/uk/reader/

The instructions for removal and cleaning of the filters are in the manual, but if you need further explanation of anything please let me know.

Regards,
BElectric

We have a matsui mf160 dishwashwasher and it is struggling to get items clean - esp greasy items - i have also noticed it is not hot at the end of the cycle so i think the problem is there is no hot water....

The dishwasher's heater is likely shot. Get a new heating element. The same heater drys and the end but also heats the hot water during the wash cycle. No hot water = dirty dishes.

"HO" flashes on display during washing.

HO, indicates that the dishwasher is using Hot Water. It is completely normal.

Extremely long cycle

The drying coil that is broken also heats the water during the wash and rinsing phase. Right now it is waiting for the water to heat up, that's why it's pausing. Replace broken heater, they are relatively cheap and can be gotten at repair clinic.com.
