Question about Avaya 5400 Series 5410 Phone

Cant get Voice mails

I have a avaya 5410 phone and when i log into my mail box it tells me i have messages. When i hit option 2 to retrieve them it says i have no messages. Can anyone help?

Delete all messages. If the problem persists try to look for more troubleshooting options in Avaya 5410 user manual

Try to delete all the messages then try adding a voice mail dialing from another extension then you will recieve the messages.

How do you stop the AVAYA 5621 frin going straight to voice mail?


It is probably in Do NOt Disturb.
If you press the speaker button, you will hear a broken dial tone IF the phone is either in Do not disturb or forwarded somewhere.

*09 turns DND off
*00 turns all forwarding off

My voice mail stopped working since BT changed its IP address. The PC where the Avaya Phone manager is installed is connected to the network through this BT router. How can I restore the Voice...


What was changed? The IP address of the phone system or the IP of the voicemail PC?

You just need to go into manager and change the IP of where the voicemail is in the SYSTEM>VOICMAIL tab.

Changing user on voicemail


ill need to log into Manager and under that users tab, you can reset the password or delete the mailbox.

Unable to leave voice mail, says good-bye


I don't think the voice mail is going bad.

On my 4424D+, I can turn off voice mail.
I use this feature when I'm gone for an extended period of time so I don't come back to 100 VMs.

Dial into your voice mail.
Choose the prompt for Call Answer Mode. (Option 8 on my phone.)
Then choose the prompt for Record Mode. (Option 1 for me.) This allows callers to record voice mails on your line.

Can't login to voice mail.


Multiple login error will clear up if you reboot your phone system with voicemail.

Voice mail greeting


When you log into the mail box, option 8 will be for personal options. Then option 2, will allow you to record your personal greeting. If this is a Startalk vociemail.
