Question about Inter-Tel Encore 618.4001 Phone

Change Time and Names

I was told that to change the time and names on this system you have to have a tech come out and plug a special computer in to change. However, every other system I've used you just have to find out how to program. Can any one give me any ideas how to change these items. We are on daylight savings and looking at clock 1 hour ahead at work is driving me nuts! Thanks!

Re: Change Time and Names

On your Intertel Encore system you can program from a phone at extension 20. Intertel does not allow the sale of the manual to end-users (you) only Intertel dealers have access. I can help with the time change: From EXT 20 press the PROGRAM key, use the arrow keys to scroll until "System Programming" is displayed. It will ask for the password. The default is 1111, if it's been changed you may be in trouble... You would then select "System" then Select "Time and Date" - change the time (24 hour format) and date (MMDDYY) then hit the SPEAKER button to complete programming. I hope this helps. I have not done this myself, just passing on the instructions.

My phone at the school that I work at is a Mitel Superset 4025, with the daylight savings time/time change. My phone for example reads: 11:20am when it is right now 12:20pm. Could you please guide me...

Your Mitel telephone gets it's time from the system, not from within the phone. The system admin or vendor will need to log into the system to make the time adjustment.
Most school districts that I have dealt with have an IT staff that has the ability to log into the phone system to make changes to things like names, extension numbers, reset mailboxes, and time change to list a few.
I am sorry that I really can't help resolve this without redirect to them.

I'm trying to change the display names for each extension but when i try the **266344 a user id option pops up....not for a password. What do i do?

Try pressing the FEATURE button then, **266344. On some Norstar phone systems there is also an Admin level of programming that is useful if you only need to change the names or the time. To access Admin programming, press Feature**23646(spells admin on the dial pad). Then 23646 for password.

Name Display

The voicemail name and the phone system name come from two different places. Your system manager should be able to reprogram the phone system to change names.

KX-T7433B Panasonic handset

A 7433 phone is probably connected to a TD system. The name change resides in 004 of the system program. You need admin access to that area to change names.

Changing time (ie. clock) and changing names of lines

Hi Michelle,
To change the time you need to press the 'Prog' button, then press the * key twice, so '**' then enter '1234' then enter '000' then press the 'enter' button (located bottom right hand corner of phone) and this will allow you to change time accordingly.
To change extension name, press 'Prog' button, then press the * key twice (as above), then enter '1234' then enter '000', then enter '004' then press 'enter' button (as above), this should then get you to the spot where you can change the name.
