Check and search on your computer for a file called "hosts". Open the file with word or a text editor and see if there is a line saying anything about or

The file called "hosts" is a cross reference used by your computer to connect web sites with their underlying IP numeric addresses. If it's odd or been tampered with it's like your speed dials saying "dial mom" but it really dials the local library.

I can't watch videos on my computer, such as youtube, news, etc. I don't have any problems with Netflix. My computer is 7 yrs old and except for that problem it works just fine

Your computer needs to have Java and Adobe Flashplayer installed in order to watch YouTube videos. You can get Java here:

Get Adobe Flashplayer here:

Uncheck the box next to the free Google Toolbar if you don't want it in your browser.

I have tried to play videos on internet web sights and my computer won't play them. What could be the problem.

the most likely is that you dont have adobe flash player. another is that your connection may be too slow, broadband is required, basically. another is that you may not be allowed on video sites, ask your network administrator.

I couldnt browse the internet but im connected to to the ISP coz i try to ping it... it was connected

Very quick test to find out the cause. open command prompt and try to ping

If it resolves an IP for google, then open a web browser, any web browser will do. This is providing that you are sure your computer is free of viruses, spyware, or malware such as browser hijackers and so forth. Anyway, if you try to go to and cannot get there, the place the IP in the browser for you got from the ping results. If you get the google page by IP, then you are having DNS issues. Contact your provider and report this so they can fix it for you.

That is my shortest answer for this problem.
