Check and search on your computer for a file called "hosts". Open the file with word or a text editor and see if there is a line saying anything about adobe.com or google.com.

The file called "hosts" is a cross reference used by your computer to connect web sites with their underlying IP numeric addresses. If it's odd or been tampered with it's like your speed dials saying "dial mom" but it really dials the local library.

Hello google chrome uses a different adobe flash player.

Download here:

Open google chrome, and go to adobe flash player download.
The link above.
Uncheck the mcafee.
Click on download, when downloaded, close the browser and run the installation program.
You don`t have to reboot, when the install is done.

Good luck

You need a capable browser with Java/Javascript enabled and the Adobe Flash plug-in for your browser. I recommend Firefox or Google Chrome.

Every time I attempt to download the flash player I am unable to; the site won't allow me to download. Any idea what the problem could be?

Which operating system are you using? It might differ between Windows and Mac, or any other operating system you're using.
It might have to do with the browser too. Which browser are you using? I know that with Google Chrome, the site to download flash at won't let you because flash comes built in to Chrome.
If you're on windows, this page will let you download flash: http://download.cnet.com/Adobe-Flash-Player/3000-2378_4-10001055.html

The youtube videos load, there is sound but no picture. Help?

Make sure you have the latest version of Adobe flash installed. Also, if you are using internet explorer, try using a better browser such as Mozilla Firefox or Google Chrome. Google Chrome comes with Adobe Flash built in. You can download it here: http://www.google.com/chrome/intl/en/landing_chrome.html?hl=en&brand=CHMB&utm_campaign=en&utm_source=en-ha-na-us-sk&utm_medium=ha

On Farmville, when I go to collect gifts, these messages always come up and it won't open my market or collect gifts. Please help! Webpage error details User Agent: Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 8.0;...

You can try three things, first, download and install the latest version of Flash
http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/
If that doesn't work, try reinstalling your browser, from that error code it looks as if your using a Mozilla based browser, probably Firefox, Sea Monkey or Flock?
Download the latest version of Firefox here: http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/firefox.html
Download the latest version of Flock here: http://flock.com/
Download the latest version of Sea Monkey here: http://www.seamonkey-project.org/
Third you can try downloading and using a different browser. there are several that I would recommend:
Safari: http://www.apple.com/safari/
Google Chrome: http://www.google.com/chrome
or Opera: http://www.opera.com/
Hope this helps!

I have tried to play videos on internet web sights and my computer won't play them. What could be the problem.

the most likely is that you dont have adobe flash player. another is that your connection may be too slow, broadband is required, basically. another is that you may not be allowed on video sites, ask your network administrator.

I couldnt browse the internet but im connected to to the ISP coz i try to ping it... it was connected

Very quick test to find out the cause. open command prompt and try to ping www.google.com

If it resolves an IP for google, then open a web browser, any web browser will do. This is providing that you are sure your computer is free of viruses, spyware, or malware such as browser hijackers and so forth. Anyway, if you try to go to www.google.com and cannot get there, the place the IP in the browser for google.com you got from the ping results. If you get the google page by IP, then you are having DNS issues. Contact your provider and report this so they can fix it for you.

That is my shortest answer for this problem.
