I bought this tv on friday and the first time it came on there were waves moving up on the screen. I turned the tv off and then on again and the waves went away. Everyday since I bought the tv, there are waves moving up on the screen. I even thought that if I left the tv on for a while that they would go away but after 3 hours the waves are still there. I can't get anyone at Polaroid to answer a phone and I need to know if I need to return the tv.

i had the same problem. i opened the panel in the back of the tv (3 screws) and opened the aluminum panel (3 screws). there's a red led light located at the bottom left corner of the top board. to the right of the led light, you will find this thing with 4 switches. i turned the two bottom switches "burn" and "epmw" to on. so far tv have been working.
could be one of two problems, either the lcd back light, which a new screen is needed, or the control box, both run about 200 dollars from polaroid, I have a 32 inch screen, I bought it cause polaroid said that was my problem only to find out that it was the control box.
