Question about Fisher and Paykel 23 in. DD-603SS Built-in Dishwasher
The lower drawer is acting erratic. It restarts about 1-2 minutes into the cycle and keeps doing this. In selecting a wash cycle every once in a while it shows a red LED with "LP" but I can not find in the user manual or the service manual what steps to do to set the water pressure to HP.
Neither drawer will go into the options settings using the button sequences in the manuals either? The top drawer runs with no problems.
I cleaned the lower filter and plate. I ran a small tube brush into the drain pipe up to about the blue impeller. It will pump water out through the sink. It also will pump some of the water into the upper drawer if you have it shut, otherwise the water all goes through the sink.
First off, clean the surface where you select the cycles, over on the right side of the drawer edge. Clean up the entire surface, so that when you lightly touch the cycles, It changes instantly. Also, you said "dd603" but the LP/HP modes are for model 601 and 602.
Open the drawer, select normal first. Now with two hands, hold your fingers over the two outer-most buttons, one on the left side and one on the right. Wait up to six seconds and then the LEDs should all come on in an orange color and the display should show the LP. Press the lock button once, it should change to LP. Make sure you are looking for a manual for a dd601/602. You can get them free at http://www.fisherpaykelparts.net
