Sanyo DP32746 TV won't turn on

Was turning off by itself intermittently and now has turned off and I can't turn it on at all. Do I need a new main board or a new power supply board?

In this case it might be hard to pin point the failure. I would suggest to measure the voltages from the power supply first to isolate the failure. In about 95% of the time if the TV is not powering up properly or it has to be unplug to work, the failure is in the power supply.
Click here to find a power supply for your TV. I can repair them for about $30.00 less.

You do not know what the fault is until teh TV get tested.

Start unplugging the power cord for ten minutes or so, ans see if this clears the error message.

If the TV started shutting down by itself , this is likely to be a problem with the power supply board.

To know what the problem is the on board component must be tested.

The best solution is always calling a technician, so that you do not risk damaging your TV.

If you have experience in fixing electronics, get the service manual and follow the troubleshooting diagrams to test the TV and find the faults.

An initial test will be checking the internal board to see if some of the power capacitor on the power board look bulged or chipped, the TV should be left unplugged for few hours before taking it apart safely.

Tv wont display hdmi connection when pressing input on remote or changing channels on the tv itself

Try a hot swap. Turn off the television and the connected equipment. Remove the hdmi cable for a minute or two. Plug the cable back in in another hdmi input if possible. Turn the television on. Turn the connected equipment on. You may need another hdmi cable. At most you will need to replace the hdmi board in the television.

3 YEAR OLD SANYO DP 32746. SHUT ITSELF OFF, CAN NOT TURN BACK ON

If you leave the tv unplugged for 2 days (atleast) then plug it back in and try to turn it on and if it comes on its the power supply board. If it comes back on it will probably shut off between 30min to 4hrs and you would have to unplug it for 2 days again. All the power needs to drain out of the tv. If thats the case take the back pannel off and check the part number out on the internet. Not hard to do becarefull touching things the power supply does store a little bit or shock in it. Good Luck.

I have a Sanyo LCD-32CA9S. Turns off after 10 minutes

Tru using your remote to access the factory reset mode to default. It might be hard to find, but it should be listed in your tools or settings options somewhere. Also, you can unplug the set for 5 minutes and then plug it in again. This resets the computer in several models. It's like a hard reboot.
