I am overseas in Afghanistan and trying to help my son back home with his phone. His Dash phone screen just turned white for no known reason, he has not dropped the phone or caused any damage to it. We tryied re-setting it following factory and online directions and no luck, just the white blank screen. The phone charges but that is it, nothing else works. Also the battery was removed for 24 hours and nothing. He removed the sim card to use it on an old phone and for a strange reason the sim card was also bad and he lost all his info, but was lucky that T-Mobile store replaced it for free. He did not have the phone with him when he visit the store, he explained the issue and all they said was that he may need another phone.
Will greatly appreciate the help, thanks!

Go to Settings - Cellular/Mobile - Turn On/Off Mobile Data.
Reboot iPhone
To reboot your iPhone Hold the Power button and the Home button simultaneously for 10 seconds.
The Apple Logo will appear on the screen and your iPhone is rebooted. I pray this works.
Ah! sounds like your home screen is set for 10 secs. try going to settings, than to home screen. than scroll down to "time out"... you can set how long you want your phone to stay in an app. you can even set it to never and it will only close a program if you end it yourself.
Will it just not boot up all the way but just stops?
If so try the procedure at this link: T-mobile Dash Master Reset
If this doesn’t work then proceed to the following guide below.
The Windows Mobile installation may be corrupted.
The only way to fix that problem is by re-installing the windows software on the phone.
If you have an SD card in your phone take it out and try turning it on. You can take it out when you see it going back to the white t-mobile screen. Once the device is on and to the home screen you can insert the card again.
either replace the whole lcd screen at a nokia care centre or at a mobile phone store. cost at nokia care centre would be over $200 and at a phone store it would probably be over $150.
if the phone stops at the white screen it is usually a problem with the crystal diode in the lcd screen.
1. PRESS AND HOLD BOTH SOFT KEYS. 2. WHILE HOLDING DOWN SOFT KEYS, PRESS AND RELEASE THE POWER BUTTON, WAIT 3-5 SEC. (PHONE SHOULD POWER ITSELF ON BY DOING THIS) 3. RELEASE THE TWO KEYS SOFT KEYS. 4. WHEN SCREEN ON DASH LOOKS LIKE IT'S IN DOS FORMAT, PRESS SEND (GREEN ANSWER KEY)
- If this does not work you can try to flash the phone back to factory. Look up TMOBILE DASH factory flash.
do a sw reset....its possible it was damaged when it was dropped in the water, but not likey....
turn the phone off, press and hold the soft keys (buttons with the lines on them above the home key and back arrow key) and hold it down.....press the power button while you are doing that until the white t-mobile screen will come on, then instead of going to the green windows mobile screen, a black screen with white writing......press the green button....it will get you in your phone but it will erase your info as a result....
