Question about Frigidaire FGF337EC Stainless Steel Gas Kitchen Range
I have an ES300 ceramic cooktop. It is 1 1/2 years old and I bought it at The Bay in Canada. It has been great until yesterday. The oven stopped working. The electronic pad lights up when I touch Bake and the temperature sets and the oven and preheat lights do light up. But there is no heat. The broil works fine. The clock is properly set. On the bottom of the oven [which is very clean] the actual heating coil seems to have a very ragged part near one end. Not burnt on food or anything. It looks like some of it just deteriorated. What would cause this? Could this be the reason the oven doesn't work?
Please help if you can. Warranty is just expired 6 months ago.
There is a fuse that controls the oven functions.. try replacing it.. good luck!
