My Amana 14 was installed in June of 2008. First problem was a loud whinning sound and a circuit being tripped. I called installer and they replaced a VALVE. Now the problem is a loud, loose hum that doesn't stop until I flick the thermostat off.

1. Brake booster diaphragm may be torn.
2. Tie rod ends may be failing.
3. Likely lifter noise. Change to better oil and oil filter.
4. Hood stops need adjusting.
To all friends! Whenever you find breaker tripped or fuse blown, it's an indication some device/s are in problem. To get tripped breaker: 1. Condenser too dusty- clean it.2. Fan motor or compressor grounded-Replace. 3. Compressor high amps due to capacitor weak-replace capacitor. 4. Burnt wire-rectify. 5.Short circuit-rectify.
sounds like you are dealing with the same problem as me .
take off the front panel (after unplugging power) take a flash lite and look at the large pulley at the back just below the pulley is the helix check to see if they are worn .
Try damper part number W10167268 from Whirlpool. They re-engineered the part, it's works different. Whirlpool issued a bulletin to servicers, but won't cover it under warranty (I have tried for many customers) "A bulletin is NOT a recall"
When there's a loud buzz like that, it does not heat, and does not blow the fuse, it is usually a defective magnetron.
Did it sound something like someone making a "gurgling" sound into a coffee cup?
I think this has a a one-year warranty, with n five-year warranty covering the magnetron.
